The atmosphere on the Duelist Platform eased somewhat, and the Dwarves and Goblins immediately began grumbling. They had never had any hierarchy among themselves; they had elected Babayev Nidam as captain because, in addition to being quite capable, he was outgoing and, contrary to his appearance, exceptionally good at organization.
Now that the tension had eased, they naturally began chatting and laughing. After all, there truly seemed to be no hope of victory.
"Come to think of it, Babayev appearing in the second round was actually very farsighted," a Dwarf suddenly said, stroking his chin analytically.
Everyone agreed, saying, "Good thing Babayev had the foresight to win one match. Otherwise, if we left with zero wins, wouldn't the elders scold us to death?"
Babayev Nidam hurriedly denied it. "I didn't have that kind of thought."
Being intimidated before the battle even began—that was a Great Sin. He couldn't bear that charge!
Sometimes, learning to face reality was also very important.
Once the students of the Public Magic Armor Academy had determined that there was no longer any chance of winning this match, they simply adopted a different mindset. The next two contestants performed reasonably normally. But, as expected, they were no match for the Saint Son and the Holy Maiden.
The Saint Son still wielded the Pure White Holy Sword, cleaving a Goblin contestant's enormous Robot in two with a single slash.
The Holy Maiden's methods were completely indecipherable. She had simply overwhelmed her opponent with magic-technique mastery.
Thus ended the final quarterfinal match of the day: Holy Rite Academy VS Public Magic Armor Academy.
The Holy Rite Academy ultimately won by a wide margin of five to one.
To neutral spectators, the match had seemed like a showcase for the Holy Rite Academy's contestants. Aside from the "Soul Fighting
