The battle was exceptionally fierce, with dragon roars and bird cries ringing without end as feathers and scales fell in a steady shower.

It was clear that their attributes were roughly equal, and neither side was dealing significant damage.

A hint of excitement appeared in Pandora's eyes. Only then did she draw a Magitech Card from her Duel Disk and begin chanting softly.

As the incantation was recited, a pearl materialized.

She held the snow-white dragon pearl in her palm and tossed it lightly.

The dragon pearl flashed out of sight. When it reappeared, it was already hovering beneath the neck of the "Sky White Dragon" in the sky.

The white dragon, whose scales had originally been snowy and delicate and whose form had been slender and beautiful, immediately underwent a mutation.

Under the effect of that dragon pearl, its body suddenly swelled, and an extraordinarily long fissure split open across its dragon hide.

The "Sky Divine Bird" tried to seize the opening and attack, but a powerful light burst from the fissure, stabbing at its eyes. It let out a sharp screech and instinctively retreated.

The light grew ever brighter, while dragon roars echoed through the void and an increasingly dense draconic aura spread outward.
