The next morning, before Su Ke had even set off, he received a notification from his best friend that the gathering location had been moved to a restaurant in the city.
Standing in the training grounds, Su Ke hung up the call, closed his eyes for a moment, and then said to Lyumila and the others nearby, "Get ready, we're heading out."
At Su Ke's command, the entire estate's forces began to mobilize.
Aside from leaving one hundred Planetary Rank guards to watch over the estate, everyone else boarded C6-class starships to follow Su Ke. However, they switched to physical flight once they reached the city outskirts. Only Lyumila and the other thirteen Stellar Rank experts would enter the city to provide protection, while the rest remained in the ships outside. With the speed of the starships, they could reach any location on the planet in the shortest possible time.
No matter what happened, Su Ke had no intention of letting these bodyguards get too far away from him.
However, upon entering the city, Su Ke still instructed the Stellar Rank experts to restrain their auras and keep a low profile to avoid attracting unwanted attention.
Qichuan City was one of the planet's nine major cities, home to over a billion people. Skyscrapers rose one after another, and the streets were bustling with crowds; it was a prosperous, lively place and Su Ke's "old home."
New Moon Restaurant was a rather famous spot in Qichuan City. A towering skyscraper reached into the clouds, situated in a bustling district. Floors one through three hundred catered to the lower and middle-class citizens, floors three hundred to six hundred served the wealthy, and the floors from six hundred to one thousand were places ordinary people could never hope to reach.
The plaza in front of the restaurant was packed with a dense flow of people.
"Su Ke, have you arrived yet? We're in private room 5 on the 127th floor," Zuo Mu messaged him.
Dressed casually in white, Su Ke arrived near the building accompanied by Lyumila and Khair, while the other twelve Stellar Rank experts trailed further behind. He looked up at the building, which was faintly shrouded in mist like a monster swallowing clouds and fog—though the mist was artificially generated to add to its imposing atmosphere.
"Did you hear that? Book the room next to private room 5 on the 127th floor," Su Ke said, tilting his head toward his subordinates. "Don't show yourselves unless I give the order. Just guard me from nearby."
"Yes, Master. Though, this New Moon Restaurant seems to be owned by the merchant you met yesterday," Lyumila, who was in charge of intelligence, said with a smile.
"Oh?" Su Ke raised an eyebrow. He recalled the chubby merchant who had groveled and fawned before him with his two beautiful daughters, then looked at the towering, luxurious skyscraper and the crowded streets around him. "That merchant is actually quite capable."
Khair laughed, "No matter how capable he is, he wouldn't dare act arrogant in front of you."
"I'm going up first." Su Ke walked into the vast lobby on the first floor. Two rows of uniformed greeters stood on either side of the entrance, the men handsome and the women beautiful. "Welcome," they said in unison. Su Ke took an extra look; none of them were even Planetary Rank. They didn't even have legal residency status, making them the absolute bottom tier of this planet, their fates difficult to control. Of course... as long as they worked at the restaurant, the restaurant would protect them, provided they didn't offend any major figures. Even a complaint from an ordinary guest could cost them their livelihood.
There were also many security guards in the restaurant who were all Planetary Rank. If Su Ke hadn't had his own stroke of luck, he likely would have ended up working for others, barely scraping by to survive.
But now... even the big boss behind the entire New Moon Restaurant had to grovel and fawn before Su Ke.
"Su Ke?" A voice suddenly came from behind him.
A group of people walked over.
The leader was a tall youth with green hair braided into small pigtails and an ear stud, who sneered as he looked at Su Ke. "Have your injuries from last time healed?" He was followed by a group of youths of similar age, all dressed quite lavishly. Among them, a seductive purple-haired girl clung to him, looking at the white-clad Su Ke with curiosity.
"An Tai?" Su Ke frowned. It was An Tai and his group who had beaten him up over half a month ago.
Recalling the scene from that day, a hint of coldness entered Su Ke's eyes.
"What, are you here to eat too? A bottom-feeder like you probably can only afford to eat below the three-hundredth floor," An Tai said, looking down at Su Ke with a condescending attitude. "Oh right, where's that brother of yours, Zuo Mu? Why isn't he with you? Hahaha... thinking back to how he was sprawled at my feet like a dead dog last time, it's truly hilarious."
An Tai's demeanor was full of mockery.
There was no direct conflict between him and Su Ke, but Zuo Mu had clashed with him more than once. Out of disgust, he had grown to dislike Su Ke as well.
Upon hearing Zuo Mu's name, the seductive purple-haired girl's expression shifted slightly.
An Tai seemed to notice her expression, reaching out to pull her in and giving her backside a firm pat.
"Do you know who she is? The woman your pathetic brother once pursued. It's a pity, your brother is useless, and she never looked his way." The seductive purple-haired girl trembled and lowered her head slightly.
"Hahaha..." The surrounding youths burst into laughter. Their families were all wealthy or powerful, and there was a natural chasm between them and commoners like Su Ke.
Su Ke watched them coldly. In truth, he had almost forgotten about what happened last time. With Su Ke's current perspective, those past events were like children playing house. While he was annoyed, he wouldn't go out of his way to seek revenge; they simply weren't worth it.
But he hadn't expected these people to be so suicidal! They just had to walk right into his line of fire!
Just as Su Ke frowned, ready to lash out:
"Let's go." Seeming to have lost interest in continuing to talk to Su Ke, An Tai waved his hand and walked toward the sky-lift, surrounded by his group. Judging by their direction, they were heading above the three-hundredth floor.
They didn't know that a group of Stellar Rank powerhouses capable of sweeping across the entire planet was hiding nearby, watching them. The Su Ke they looked down upon could wipe them out of existence with a flick of his finger.
"Hm?" Su Ke suddenly felt a tremor in his heart and turned toward the lobby entrance. At the same time, many people in the lobby seemed to sense something and looked over.
A group of people walked into the lobby. The leader was a bald man with eyes as cold as lightning, pointed ears, and wearing gray-blue combat gear. He was muscular and tall, his exposed skin appearing to have the color of yellow metal. He was completely hairless and carried a massive black greatsword on his back. He radiated an intense, fierce aura, and the first impression he gave was one of danger, enough to make one's heart race. The people following him were of various races, but they all possessed a similar aura; none of them were ordinary.
"They're Stellar Rank powerhouses!" someone whispered in shock.
An invisible pressure enveloped the entire lobby as they entered, and the crowd fell silent.
Stellar Rank... that was already the peak of combat power on this planet.
Su Ke looked at this group of imposing figures and noticed some markings on their bodies.
"Adventurers?"
