"Feel free to settle in here in the Long Ridge Tribe. I won't disturb you. If you run into any trouble you can't handle, you can come straight to me. If there's anything you don't understand, you can ask the others. Your neighbors are all decent people."
Joseph said.
It seemed Joseph was pretty considerate of us.
Garen thanked him.
"Thank you, Mr. Joseph."
After Joseph left, the four of them began building their home.
The open ground on the mountainside was surrounded by thick trees that would have taken several people to wrap their arms around.
They quickly used Wind-style Divine Power to process the trees into lumber, then built a beautiful two-story wooden house.
They soon made wooden tables, chairs, and beds as well.
They fenced in the clearing with lumber, creating a small courtyard.
The girls also transplanted some beautiful flowers they had seen on the mountain into the courtyard, instantly filling it with life and energy.
"Phew, we're finally done."
With a casual wave of his hand, Garen filled the table in front of him with all kinds of delicious food and fruit.
"Come on, everyone worked hard. Sit down and rest for a while."
The girls all eagerly gathered around.
They began to enjoy the food.
"Joseph said newcomers don't have to do anything for the first ten years, as long as they don't cause trouble. The tribe seems very friendly to newcomers, and it doesn't seem short on Ink Stone. It's got some resources behind it."
Garen remembered that the Black Dragon Tribe where Linley lived in the original story was a pretty decent tribe. It also earned money from dragon saliva, and newcomers had to pay one Ink Stone to join. This tribe clearly didn't care about such a small amount from newcomers.
