The Fifth Layer of the Graveyard of the Gods
A world of fire. The moment Garen entered the fifth layer, waves of heat washed over him. A volcano stood at its center, while the rest of the layer was covered in barren, rocky ground, completely bare and stretching as far as the eye could see.
The rocks underfoot were scorching hot.
The heat haze blurred his vision, but Garen still spotted some indistinct figures in the distance as soon as he arrived: Desri and the other four Saint Realm peak experts, along with three Six-Eyed Golden Lions.
It looked like they had agreed to meet up before entering.
Garen could have gone with them, but he had turned down Desri's invitation.
"Garen, what do you think? Want to join us in challenging the sixth layer? The Flame Monarch there is terrifying. It's not something anyone can take on alone."
Desri spotted Garen from afar and flew over. Even with five men and three beasts, all Saint Realm peak experts, they weren't confident they could defeat the Flame Monarch.
"I'll go scout ahead first. If it's too much, I'll come back to the fifth layer."
Garen was after the elite—the freakishly powerful fighters. Right now, he was like the Fiery Cloud Evil God in the mental hospital in Kung Fu Hustle. Just the thought of running into a strong opponent excited him.
He had already tasted success on the fourth layer of the Graveyard of the Gods. How could he pass up what lay ahead? His only worry was that the bosses on the next few layers might not be strong enough.
He was invincible among Saint Realm fighters anyway. The others could do as they pleased.
Seeing that Garen didn't take the dangers of the Graveyard of the Gods seriously
