Background / History

Little Butterfly Dragon's egg was tempered within a fire vein for several thousand years, an ordeal believed impossible for an ordinary dragon egg to survive. A volcanic eruption in the Bear King Mountain Range expelled the egg, which contained her soul and became the red stone discovered by Sanbao. 117 528

Before she could hatch, a four-winged birdman forcibly fused with her egg in an attempt to possess her body. The possession failed because she was a female dragon with a pure-yang body; she ultimately destroyed the birdman's soul, but the incident left her prematurely born, undersized, and with much of her inherited knowledge and divine abilities lost. 119

To avoid annihilation, the soul within the egg agreed to become Sanbao's Life-Bound Beast under a master-servant soul contract formed through the Ancient Beast Seal. Once hatched, she regarded Sanbao as the person closest to her, and the pair could communicate directly through thought. 117 119
