History

Tang Sect and Shrek Academy

Tang Ya was the Tang Sect’s master after the sect’s destruction. Its former weakness was stark: before the Iron Blood Sect wiped it out, the Tang Sect had not possessed even one Soul Saint. 457

Huo Yuhao’s Qi Observation Technique identified her fate as perilous from the beginning. Her fortune was thin, her Blue Silver Grass omen appeared withered, and black clouds containing blood-red light hung over her; beneath it, dense Evil Qi nourished and transformed the martial soul. Huo Yuhao concluded that she faced either an unnatural death or a descent into becoming an Evil Soul Master. 3

Tang Ya and Bei Bei became a couple after their soul-hunting expedition was saved by a mysterious Soul Emperor. Soon afterward, Ma Xiaotao’s uncontrolled Evil Fire severely injured both of them, leaving Tang Ya disfigured. Lacking confidence in herself and Bei Bei’s love, Tang Ya left Shrek Academy without waiting for him to wake. 8 11

Blue Silver Saintess

After leaving Shrek, Tang Ya became the Blue Silver Saintess of the Holy Spirit Cult. She fully awakened her Blue Silver Grass by absorbing life energy from City Defense Army soldiers, transforming it into a dark martial soul and declaring vengeance against the Heaven Dou Empire. 121

As Saintess, she amassed considerable influence. She could command Soul Saint and Soul Douluo subordinates, while even Titled Douluo-level headquarters elders would assist her when needed. 457 She also led Holy Spirit Cult disciples alongside Bei Bei, the Blue Silver Knight, although a deep divide remained between them: Bei Bei retained his true heart within darkness, while Tang Ya had accepted her identity as the Blue Silver Saintess. 515 516

Tang Ya operated the Elegant Pavilion and sought control of the Xi Shui Alliance, using both as power bases independent of the Holy Spirit Cult. 689 703 Her long-term objective remained rebuilding the Tang Sect, though she intended to remake it rather than repeat its past failures.

Rebuilding the Tang Sect

Tang Ya concluded that the Tang Sect had declined because it clung too rigidly to Blue Silver Grass, hidden weapons, and an outdated inheritance while neglecting Soul Tool technology. 704 711

During the raid on Mingde Hall, she made Soul Tool blueprints her personal objective. The cache included high-level blueprints, including Rank 9 designs and a Zhuge Divine Crossbow Cannon blueprint. Tang Ya regarded these plans as the foundation for a future Tang Sect that could combine hidden weapons with Soul Tools. 711

She privately prepared this revival as an escape route from the Holy Spirit Cult. The sect gave her no true sense of belonging, and the instability of Elegant Pavilion and the Xi Shui Alliance made rebuilding the Tang Sect increasingly urgent. 711 733

Sun Moon Empire and Holy Spirit Cult Politics

Tang Ya repeatedly tried to recruit and manipulate Huo Yuhao, first seeking his help to control the Holy Spirit Cult and later tasking him with building an outside force for herself and Bei Bei. 719 743 Huo Yuhao cooperated selectively for Bei Bei’s sake while remaining distrustful of her motives. 728 743

After Bei Bei was taken by Shrek Academy, Tang Ya lost much of her former support. Ye Xishui intervened to protect her from Long Xiaoyao, revealed herself as the Holy Spirit Cult’s Grand Elder, and accepted Tang Ya as a disciple. 915

Following Ye Xishui’s advice, Tang Ya sought protection from Sun Moon Emperor Xu Tiancheng. She was appointed Left Prime Minister of the Sun Moon Empire, gaining political authority despite the court’s hostility toward her Holy Spirit Cult background. 950 951

Assault on Shrek Academy

Tang Ya returned to Shrek Academy as part of the Holy Spirit Cult’s surprise attack, leading a force intended to seize Sea God Island while Zhongli Wu drew attention in Shrek City. 1087

She confronted Du Weilun, the director who had processed her withdrawal from Shrek, and killed him with Dark Blue Silver Grass after declaring that she was no longer the weak Blue Silver Grass soul master he had once been able to dismiss. 1087

At Sea God Island, Tang Ya fought her former roommate Jiang Nannan. Though she attempted to capture Jiang Nannan alive and restrained herself from draining her life force, the battle exposed Tang Ya’s growing isolation within the Holy Spirit Cult when Feng Ling attacked Jiang Nannan without regard for Tang Ya’s wishes. 1090 1091 1092

New Holy Spirit Cult and Rakshasa Imperial Guard

Tang Ya later established the New Holy Spirit Cult in the Ming Dou Mountain Range. The organization drew Evil Soul Masters and ambitious factions, developed Twelve Elders, and became a sanctuary for Evil Soul Masters. Tang Ya became its cult leader, but felt trapped by the force she had built and increasingly focused on revenge against Huo Yuhao and Bei Bei. 1200

During the war against the Holy Spirit Cult, Tang Ya fought as one of its foremost leaders. She escaped Bei Bei and Nan Shuishui by leaving behind a Blue Silver Grass substitute, then used a mass sacrifice in Jingyang Mountain Range to reach Limit Douluo. 1235 1236

Tang Ya’s later sacrifice enabled Cain to inherit the Rakshasa Godhood. As the Blue Silver Saintess, she became ambitious, calculating, and increasingly ruthless. She uses flattery, seduction, political deals, and manipulation when direct force is insufficient, while seeking control over the Holy Spirit Cult, the Xi Shui Alliance, Elegant Pavilion, and eventually the Sun Moon Empire. 703 719 868 915

Her desire to rebuild the Tang Sect remains sincere, but it is entwined with revenge and self-preservation. She recognizes that its old doctrine contributed to its destruction and wants a new Tang Sect built on Soul Tool knowledge and stronger resources. 704 711
