Watching his underlings cut down by a single sword strike, Arlong's eyes widened, his eyeballs bulging out.
This is impossible!
Isn't the East Blue the Weakest Sea?
Why would someone like this be here?
"Damn inferior race!"
Driven by extreme fear, a sense of boundless rage and madness surged within Arlong's heart.
And this rage seemed to briefly suppress his fear.
"Inferior race?"
Hearing Arlong's words, Dunn raised his eyes to meet Arlong's gaze and swung Flame out in a sudden slash.
"Bastard, the gap between races can never be bridged."
Facing the incoming longsword, Arlong bared his teeth and lunged forward, his sharp teeth locking onto the blade like gears, holding it firmly in place.
Dunn twisted his wrist, rotating the sword along with it.
A cracking sound rang out.
The teeth that had clamped onto the blade snapped off one by one, and Arlong, his mouth full of blood, stared at Dunn in disbelief.
His teeth were his sharpest weapon and his greatest source of pride.
Shark On Gear!
Arlong pulled his right leg back sharply and lunged at Dunn, his body spinning like a drill, aiming his sharp nose directly at Dunn as he thrust forward.
Dunn raised his hand and pressed down, slamming the hilt of Flame onto the top of the incoming Arlong's head.
Boom!
Arlong crashed down, his head embedding itself into the stone floor.
Struggling to pull his head out from the stone, Arlong's body stiffened as a cold blade rested against his neck.
Dunn held his sword against Arlong's neck and turned to look at the sea outside the island, where a large ship was rapidly approaching, its sun-like pirate flag clearly visible.
Suddenly, a figure burst out from the seawater, his round body leaping into the air as he pulled his fist back to his waist.
"Spear Wave!"
As the figure moved, the seawater he brought with him gathered together and then exploded outward, striking toward Dunn with immense force.
Dunn retracted his sword and swung, the slash cutting through the incoming water wave.
Boom, boom!
The severed water hit the ground like two cannonballs.
Following this, the round blue body flipped in the air and landed not far from Dunn.
"A Swordsman!"
Jinbe's expression turned grave as his eyes swept over the scattered corpses of the Fishmen and the terrified humans huddled together.
Possessing a fair amount of intelligence, Jinbe immediately guessed what had happened here not long ago.
"I am Jinbe of the Sun Pirates; I ask that you spare Arlong!"
Jinbe took a deep breath and bowed deeply to Dunn.
"No!"
As soon as Dunn finished speaking, he pressed his sword back against Arlong's neck.
Jinbe's expression stiffened. Before he could speak, he saw Dunn's sword flicker. Arlong, who had been staring at Jinbe with a look of indignation, went rigid as his head rolled away.
The headless corpse struggled for a few moments before falling still.
Watching Arlong get beheaded, the first thought in Jinbe's mind was that Shyarly's prophecy had come true.
But then, a flash of anger crossed his eyes.
What Arlong did was naturally wrong, and he would have punished him upon bringing him back.
But this person before him also had his own stance.
With his Observation Haki activated, he could immediately sense that quite a few people had died in this village attacked by Arlong.
Fishmen kill humans, and humans kill Fishmen.
"Brother Jinbe!"
A large number of Fishman pirates leaped from the ship docked at the pier and rushed toward them.
"Bastard, that guy Arlong was actually killed."
As soon as these people arrived and saw Arlong's head rolling at Dunn's feet, they widened their eyes and roared, looking furious.
Swish!
Dunn's figure suddenly vanished, and the next moment, he appeared before the shouting pirate, bringing Flame down upon his head.
Bang!
With his thick arm wrapped in deep Armament Haki, Jinbe blocked Dunn's strike.
The strength was immense.
Jinbe was startled; the force of the sword blow sent him stumbling backward, knocking the Fishmen behind him off balance.
Every step he took backward caused the ground to shake violently.
Once he regained his footing, the stone floor before him was shattered by his footprints, with cracks spreading out in every direction.
"All of you, retreat to the ship and take Hatchan with you."
Jinbe stared intently at Dunn, his expression grave as he gave the order.
The other Fishmen were also shocked by the impact they had just witnessed.
Jinbe's strength was no weaker than Fisher's, yet he had actually been forced back by a single sword strike?
Dunn paid no mind to the retreating Fishmen, his eyes locked onto Jinbe.
From that brief exchange, Dunn knew that Jinbe was the most formidable opponent he had ever faced.
Koshiro's swordsmanship was excellent, but his Haki and physical constitution still had a significant gap compared to Jinbe.
"Hand over the bodies, and this matter ends here."
Jinbe did not know Dunn's identity.
Although the Arlong Pirates had attacked this village and killed many people, the Arlong Pirates—save for Hatchan—had already been wiped out.
"That won't do. I intend to take these Fishmen's bodies back to the Navy to claim the bounties."
Dunn smiled and then refused.
"You are a Pirate Hunter?"
"You could say that. However, my targets also include you, Shichibukai Jinbe!"
Dunn nodded, then sheathed Taimatsu and placed his hand on the hilt.
"Including you!"
"What arrogant words."
Jinbe's expression hardened, his face showing signs of anger.
Nadeshigiri!
Swish!
The terrifying blade, carrying a slash, arrived right in front of Jinbe's thick neck the moment his voice fell.
With agility that belied his size, Jinbe threw himself backward, flipping to dodge the strike.
Boom!
The flying slash tore through the air, severing the flag of the Fishman pirate ship docked at the shore.
Dunn did not pause, immediately pursuing the retreating Jinbe.
Taimatsu, held in his hand, was wrapped in Armament Haki as the dark blade thrust forward.
Karakusa Gawara Seiken!
Jinbe, mid-retreat, pulled back his fist and swung it toward the incoming blade.
The Haki-coated blade collided with his fist.
Bang!
A shockwave erupted, and both men were forced back.
Dunn swung his sword, pointing it diagonally toward the ground. Jinbe used the momentum to retreat to the water's edge, stepping onto the sea. He widened his stance and slammed his right foot down.
Uchimizu!
His palm, coated in Armament Haki, struck the splashing seawater.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
The sound of breaking air rang out.
The struck water droplets flew like countless bullets being fired.
Seeing this, Dunn charged forward, his sword slicing through all the incoming water droplets.
Samehada Shigure!
Before Dunn could reach him, Jinbe launched even more water, which surged forward like pillars of blue.
The force behind these was far greater than the droplets, and their speed was even faster.
Dunn swung his sword to cut through the water pillars, but more kept coming. Dunn's expression darkened as flames rose from his wrists, spreading along his arms to his entire body, even enveloping the blade in his hand.
Taimatsu!
Dunn raised the burning Taimatsu and slashed down violently. A flash of fire shot out, evaporating the water pillars in its path, and when the fire reached Jinbe, it suddenly exploded.
A fire tornado dozens of meters high rose up, spinning and dragging Jinbe into its intense heat.
