That night, Qin Yue sat cross-legged on his bed, with the Spirit-Devouring Carving Knife before him. It had been purified during the day and now housed Electrolux.

Although he had learned about the Holy Necromancer from the original work, reading about him was one thing. Now that he was dealing with him personally, no amount of caution was too much.

Moreover, Electrolux was an old monster who had lived for at least ten thousand years. Qin Yue had no confidence in competing with him in intellect. Rather than let Electrolux discover something amiss later and create a rift between them, it was better to be frank from the start.

Qin Yue half-closed his eyes and asked calmly, "Are you ready?"

"I am." The aged voice carried a trace of exhaustion and confusion. "Qin Yue, what exactly do you wish to say? Is there something special about this academy that requires me to set up defensive measures?"

Only after confirming that Electrolux had finished his arrangements and that they would not be overheard through the walls did Qin Yue slowly explain through their Spiritual Link:

"This academy is indeed rather special, but compared to it, Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong are the truly special ones."

"Huo Yuhao? The child with unusual eyes? And Wang Dong is the little girl beside him?" the aged voice asked doubtfully.

"That's right." Qin Yue nodded. "Most of what I'm about to tell you concerns them—or rather, the person hidden behind them."

The aged voice sensed the gravity in Qin Yue's tone and instinctively became more attentive. "Please, go on."

"The academy I currently attend is called Shrek Academy. It is unquestionably the foremost academy on Douluo Continent, but ten thousand years ago, it was merely a small academy on the verge of closure, one that no one paid any attention to."

"Yet with the appearance of one man, this academy's fate changed. It soared to become the holy land in the hearts of every Soul Master and developed into the behemoth it is today."

"And it all began with Tang San, the man who changed Shrek Academy's destiny."

"Ten thousand years ago, Tang San attained godhood, gaining both the Sea God and Asura God Divine Positions. He then ascended to the God Realm and became one of the Five Great God Kings. What boundless glory."

Hearing this, the well-traveled Electrolux had already formed a few guesses, but he did not interrupt Qin Yue. He merely listened in silence.

"But the problem lay precisely in this 'ascension to the God Realm.' Perhaps it was his nature, or perhaps it was the corruption brought by power, but Sea God Tang San set his sights on Douluo Continent and did everything he could to turn it into his private backyard."

"And Huo Yuhao is the most important chess piece in his current plan."

"Huo Yuhao came from humble origins, and his talent did not seem particularly impressive. Yet he carries the favor of the Will of the Douluo Continent Plane—a tremendous fortune sufficient to make Sea God Tang San covet it!"

Electrolux finally understood. When he slept, he would instinctively enter Huo Yuhao's Sea of Spirit, and that large bug with some attainments in Mental Power was likely connected to this fortune as well.

"In order to control this fortune, Tang San arranged for Wang Dong to appear. Wang Dong's true name is Tang Wutong, Tang San's biological daughter. To accomplish his goal, Tang San sent his own daughter from the God Realm to Douluo Continent to approach Huo Yuhao."

"And to prevent Tang Wutong, whose memories of the God Realm had been sealed, from exposing any flaws, Tang San split Tang Wutong's soul into two. One part was nurtured within her body, while the other became the current 'Wang Dong.' Beyond that, a portion of Tang San's Divine Consciousness lies dormant within Wang Dong as a safeguard."

"Humph!" Electrolux snorted coldly. He immediately saw that this was merely Tang San's method of controlling Huo Yuhao. An incomplete soul had far too many flaws, enough to manipulate and tame Huo Yuhao, who already placed great importance on emotions.

At the same time, he felt fortunate. Had Qin Yue not appeared carrying Life Gold, after awakening, he would have remained in Huo Yuhao's Sea of Spirit due to the weakness of his Divine Consciousness. Over time, he would inevitably have been discovered by the Divine Consciousness within Wang Dong. By then, he might have become one of Tang San's expendable tools for taming Huo Yuhao.

However, what Electrolux cared about more now was Qin Yue. Why was he telling him all this? In what capacity was he saying it? And was everything he said true?

Qin Yue did not notice the change in Electrolux's attitude, and even if he had, he would not have cared, because he had intended to reveal everything from the beginning.

"By now, you must have many questions. For instance, why do I know so much? Why do I dare tell so much to a wisp of Divine Consciousness of unknown origin? And why do I dare oppose Sea God Tang San?"

"The reason is simple. I am also favored by the Will of the Douluo Continent Plane. It is merely that this favor came later than Huo Yuhao's, which is why Sea God Tang San has not discovered me."

"But not being discovered now does not mean I will never be discovered. Tang San's treatment of Tang Wutong is chilling. I could never stand by and watch his scheme succeed, nor do I want Huo Yuhao's fate to befall me in another form."

Electrolux understood. If what Qin Yue said was true, and both he and Huo Yuhao were favored by the Plane Will, then resistance was inevitable when their fates were so closely intertwined.

"Besides, I am not entirely ignorant of you, which is why I dared to speak so candidly. The Plane Will once transmitted some information to me. Sea God Tang San's scheme came from that information, and so did the information about you, Senior Electrolux."

Electrolux's soul stirred. He now believed seventy or eighty percent of what Qin Yue had said. He was certain that he had never voluntarily revealed any information, and Qin Yue's cultivation was insufficient to discern anything from this wisp of Divine Consciousness. Therefore, the source of that information had to be another existence.

Furthermore, he had not sensed any Divine Consciousness within Qin Yue. That left only one answer.

Yet Electrolux still had one final question. "Plane Will, why would it tell you these things? Even if Huo Yuhao were tamed by Tang San, it would have nothing to do with it, wouldn't it?"

"Of course it does!" Qin Yue shook his head. "Elder Yi, you do not know this, but Tang San's scheme does not stop with Huo Yuhao. He also arranged for his parents to descend to the lower realm."

"With Tang San's help, his father Tang Hao has continuously eroded the Plane Will, seeking to replace it. Meanwhile, his mother Ah Yin has merged with Shrek Academy's Golden Ancient Tree, intending to become Douluo Continent's Life Core through it."

"The Plane Will gave me this information for the same reason I told you this information today: to save itself."

"The Plane Will and the Life Core... so that is how it is. Then it is no longer strange."

Electrolux finally understood. Qin Yue's initial claim that Tang San wanted to turn Douluo Continent into his own backyard had not been exaggerated in the slightest. It was utterly, completely true.
