The calendar pages were torn away one by one.
June arrived without a sound.
For Class D,
the most anticipated thing this month was the distribution of Class Points. At last, they were no longer stuck at zero across the board.
Though there were only 100 points in total, that came to just 10,000 Personal Points per person.
Compared to the hundreds of thousands Class A and Class B students earned at a time, it was hardly worth mentioning—not even necessarily enough for a proper meal off campus.
Still, this was the first income they had earned through their own efforts since enrolling. Its significance was entirely different.
The atmosphere in the class was noticeably livelier than before. The students who had once hung their heads in defeat now had a little more confidence on their faces.
At the very least, those 100 points proved that Class D was not without hope. As long as they worked hard, they could eventually escape the bottom of the rankings.
The June sunlight grew fiercer by the day. The vegetation on the Artificial Island became increasingly lush, and the air was filled with the scent of grass and trees, along with the inescapable summer heat.
Campus life gradually returned to peace.
Those who needed to attend class attended class.
Those who needed to join clubs joined clubs.
The study rooms were always filled with students bent over their books.
Everything proceeded in an orderly fashion.
Akiyama Shin's daily routine, however, did not change much.
Every day, he went on his morning run without fail. After class, he either stayed in the library filling gaps in his knowledge or hid away in a corner sorting through fragments of information gathered from various sources.
Occasionally, he discussed class matters with Horikita Suzune during lunch break
