Two weeks later, nearing September, Jiang Han made another trip to the Anse World. This time, she was nowhere near as lucky. The bloodshot-eyed Anse Elves had already deployed their so-called [Great Elves] to the battlefield... Two Tree Fruit Giant Cats were beaten straight into [elf-phobia], muttering all day, "When the Anse are fewer than a hundred, they're nothing; once they pass a hundred, they're invincible." Three witches were lost and placed in silver ash boxes, their time knocked back by four months.
One section of Jiang Han's cat tail was blown off, leaving her in a truly miserable state. Still, they successfully blasted six superpowered Anse Elves into spirit-soul form. It would likely take those elves three or four years to resurrect, and given the technological and occult-generation gap between witches and the Anse, those six Anse Elves theoretically would not be able to return to the battlefield within the next ten years.
This earned Jiang Han's group two collective badges, along with resource rewards sufficient to make up for their losses.
The witch support devices provided by Loya Technology Company allowed the fallen witches' souls to attach themselves to the equipment, turning them into high-intensity combat-and-survival humanoids who could keep attending class. Once the witches were formally summoned
