Jiang Han floated up from the deep pit and, unsurprisingly, saw that her camp had been utterly wrecked. Sand had nearly buried everything!
Several Cat Lamps floated in the sky, meowing ominously as they stared down below.
If a witch's camp was destroyed and she herself had gone too far away, these meows would descend from the sky as if declaring, "This belongs to the cats now!" Then they would use their plump little paws to dig through the sand, find valuable items, and store them away in strange Cat Lamp storage mines.
Jiang Han tossed the still-unconscious Ghost Witch onto the sand, casually cast a sunlight-repelling shield on her, then quickly grabbed a shovel and trotted over.
Damn it, these meows are all eyeing my treasures... The corner of Jiang Han's mouth twitched. Before the Cat Lamps could land, she began digging according to her memories.
After digging a little at the spot that was roughly, probably, perhaps the entrance, Jiang Han delightfully discovered that her portable room had not been damaged at all. It had merely reverted to the form of its original small leather suitcase and been buried in the yellow sand.
Just as she dug out the portable suitcase, disappointed meows began ringing out continuously from the sky.
Heh... bad cats! Jiang Han turned toward the sky, stuck out her tongue and made a face, then smilingly took several intact crystal sugar ores from her pocket. She gathered magic power, snapped them apart with force, and threw them onto the sand dune.
"Meow!" Several Cat Lamps sprang out of the sand as well, while the ones in the sky descended and happily scrambled for the crystal sugar.
Cat Lamps needed to replenish a great deal of yin and yang in order to produce little Cat Lamps.
