Witches were often very good at both restraining and unleashing their bloodlust. All sorts of competitions that were essentially "gladiatorial arenas" let them vent their violent impulses, while hunting grounds built across various lands—places ordinary witches could visit once a month—could also satisfy their need for slaughter.

A higher level of enjoyment, meanwhile, lay in all kinds of places that required regular membership fees, such as this one—

Hunter Club. Dream Garden's overseas cluster of Sky Islands. Its main island, "Hunting Island," covered 7,200 square kilometers. Including the folded spaces into which the island's source waters flowed, it covered a total of 15,360 square kilometers—roughly the size of three South Cities, or one-fifteenth of South Capital Province. More than two thousand small floating islands drifted nearby, constructed by all manner of witches.

Among them was one particularly large floating island made from a volcano. It had become the hot spring island here, an enterprise belonging to one of the great Archwitches, the Kraken Witch.

If one wished to pay her a visit, all one needed to do was find out when she was there and bring along a box of handmade tofu.

Many miniature sculptures of prey were displayed throughout Hunter Club, and in the center of the hall stood a massive full model of Hunting Island. Everything was vividly rendered, from the environment to the small moving coordinates of the animals. Maps of the hunting spaces were neatly arranged beside it, likewise in the form of animated maps, making everything clear at a glance.

Several witches dressed in hunting gear were studying the maps.
