There were more than three billion Witches in the world. Counting underage Witches who had not yet passed A1, the number was even greater.
Yet there were more than sixty billion Cat Lamps across the world. These Cat Lamps were scattered throughout every corner of Witch society, most of them attached to Witches in their daily activities.
With so many Cat Lamps, the amount of information they recorded was astonishing. Even Olivia could not read all of it every day, so decentralized information management was inevitable.
But because Cat Lamps could only give descriptions like, "That Witch is so tall!" or "That Witch gave Meow fish jerky!" only high-ranking Cat Lamps could serve as Meow Yi Ao's eyes and ears, traveling to read and visit the local Cat Lamps, gathering information, then compiling it into reports to submit to Meow Yi Ao.

Beneath a small Sky Island in South City, inside a steam-hot-spring vent specifically used for storing water.
A large cat nest was hidden away.
Several hundred Cat Lamps lounged together, watching programs on waterproof televisions discarded by Witches or funded by them.
Some Cat Lamps were continuously tapping old pots and jars with their tails, miraculously transforming that jumble of junk into brand-new Cat Lamp supplies with leyline energy.
Two or three Cat Lamp girls were also there, cute in appearance, with skinny-cat ears and tails, repairing a computer.
"Meow! Meow! Water, water got in!"
"Don't be scared. Use your tail to suck the moisture out."
..."Meow!"
Staring at the wrecked old computer, the three Cat Lamp girls could not help remembering the washing machine in the home of the Witch who had hired them... They immediately shuddered, then wildly smashed at it with their tails, meowing all the while.
