The pay was 10,000 Nethersea Point tokens per month, plus two hours of library access each week—the standard benefits for reserve Sea Shepherd Witches.
She would be issued security-level identification documents.
Once per month, she could submit a commission designating a Sea Shepherds squad for free support, provided its rating did not exceed "Dangerous" level.
Once per month, she could transmit a spell research paper for Kraken to personally evaluate and offer revision suggestions.
After Cen Jing very satisfactorily signed two contracts—one for work in District 92 and one confidential contract with the Sea Shepherds—she left Kraken's reception room under a maid's guidance. She still had two classes to attend today, and needed to apply to Dream Garden for a schedule adjustment, making room for her two days of consulting work each week.
But it was not much of a problem. Though there were confidentiality requirements, Ji Haijun of Dream Garden was close to Kraken, and the Sea Shepherds and Dream Garden could be considered sister organizations. Adjusting schedules for this degree of work requirement was neither complicated nor difficult. Even without explaining the reason, Cen Jing could get it done.
Jiang Han followed Kraken into the laboratory. Naturally, her compensation could not possibly be the same as Cen Jing's.
Kraken's laboratory was built with extreme modernity, a place brimming with the feel of an "evil scientist's laboratory." There were person-height culture tanks filled with solvent, little bottles containing monster organs, enormous mechanical apparatuses, and observation rooms fitted with one-way glass.
"Your friend is quite good. Her appearance and image are excellent. I even considered recruiting her as a spokesperson for the Sea Shepherds once her work is finished." Kraken led Jiang Han to a culture tank and chatted casually. "Even though she is a Witch, she is very popular."
