"Don't even think about it!" Chen Rui fought through his grievous wounds and hurled himself at Sariel with all his strength, trying to stop him from entering the golden gate of light.
At the instant Chen Rui leapt into the air, Sariel suddenly turned around. The giant eye within the kingdom transformed into silver crescent-shaped shockwaves that howled through the air in crisscrossing paths. Chen Rui's body was instantly sliced into countless fragments. Catching sight of this from the corner of his eye, Sariel sneered inwardly and flew straight into the golden gate of light.
Before him lay an enormous open expanse, apparently an independent space similar to the Moon Kingdom. Ben Hong floated ahead. She had not fled, but merely watched Sariel in silence, a Silver Casket in her hand.
"Hmph! Scared stiff?" Sariel sneered. "With your current strength, even running would be useless! That subordinate of yours did have some ability, but unfortunately, I utterly destroyed him. This battle is over. You have no chance of a lucky escape!"
"Is that so?" A meaningful smile tugged at Ben Hong's lips. "You're mistaken. The battle has only just begun."
"Have you lost even the courage to admit defeat?" Sariel shook his head disdainfully as the power of his kingdom surged toward Ben Hong. "Do you still dream of perishing with me? I'm not an idiot like Uriel, so arrogantly blind that he gives his enemies an opportunity! And I won't offer you terms of surrender, either. A madwoman like you would never bow to anyone except that person! Then, for the sake of an old adversary, I'll grant you a swift death now!"
"You still love playing the clever fool, Sariel." Ben Hong did not evade the imprisoning force rushing toward her. Her smile gained a touch of mockery.
