***The funeral arrangements have all been completed. These past few days have been exhausting for the whole family, not only mentally but physically as well. My mother already had high blood pressure and kept medicine on her at all times during this period, just in case. My aunt, father, and uncle are all getting on in years and in poor health, and they have endured great hardship.
These past few days, I have barely slept through the night. Especially while keeping vigil, I could not sleep for even a minute. Due to exhaustion, posture, and various other reasons, my lumbar spine problem flared up again. The pain was unbearable. At the funeral procession, after kneeling, I simply could not stand back up and had to be helped by my younger cousins.
No matter what, dust returns to dust, earth to earth. The departed are gone. Grandma has left us; may she rest in peace.
If we live better lives, it should bring greater peace to her spirit in heaven.
I hope Grandpa can make it through this period and live for several more years.
