From its upload on my birthday in November 2011 to its completion today, July 22, 2014, Son-in-law of the Demon Realm had taken roughly three and a half years. The main text totaled 4.54 million words. This was the first time I had written such a long novel; even my previous work, <I Am King Zhou: The Proud Roar of Investiture of the Gods>, had only been 2.3 million words.
To make things easier for everyone to read, I'll make three general points.
