Liyuan Planet was a commercial planet of the Youqing Empire and the most prosperous planet in the Mimeng Star System. Merchants and travelers came and went without end, and Doulian City was one of Liyuan Planet's five major cities.
Xue Xi and Ai Chen headed straight for Doulian City. They descended from the sky, but the people around them weren't at all surprised, and the guards turned a blind eye. The two entered the city without a hitch.
Ai Chen came from the Angel Universe Kingdom, an incomparably prosperous place, so she wasn't particularly impressed by this "backwater." She followed closely behind Xue Xi, looking straight ahead. Xue Xi, on the other hand, seemed like a young girl whose eyes lit up at everything she saw.
It was no wonder. Even though she had once spent some time on the Imperial Star of the Black Dragon Mountain Empire, the universe was vast, and every place had its own customs. The people of Doulian City and their clothes gave her a whole new perspective. It was hardly surprising that she acted like a country bumpkin seeing the big city for the first time.
The two strolled down the street, with the bustling cries of vendors filling their ears. It had the feel of a morning market on Earth, except that the goods for sale were rather bizarre.
For instance, the stall in front of Xue Xi had no counter. Instead, it had a number of cages filled with oddly shaped animals. Energy fields held them down so firmly that they couldn't move, but the ferocity in their eyes and their constant roars made it clear they were all violent beasts. Seeing how interested Xue Xi looked, the stall owner immediately began chattering away in the Universal Language, calling out his wares.
