By now, Xue Xi had recreated most of Earth's growing conditions in the Cultivation Space, including but not limited to crops, vegetables, fruits, and various kinds of beasts.
But she had made no progress at all in cultivating Monsters and Spirits of Vegetation. Even after putting in thousands of Monsters and Wood Bud Crystals, there had been no results. So Xue Xi wanted to find terrain and environments in the universe that were better suited to the reproduction of Spirits of Vegetation and Monsters, then recreate them in her Cultivation Space.
She released the hundred-meter-long Black Dragon Spaceship and ordered Babata's subprogram to cloak it. Then Xue Xi boarded her first spaceship, looking around curiously. Everything was brimming with the look of futuristic technology. Obviously, Xue Xi had no idea how any of it worked.
"Babata No. 1, take off!" She casually named and numbered the subprogram, then had the ship leave Earth. She wanted to see with her own eyes the home planet that had given birth to her.
The cloaked Black Dragon rose silently. None of the countries' satellites or detection methods noticed the enormous ship quietly lifting off. It soon passed through the upper atmosphere and beyond the planet's magnetic shield.
"Babata No. 1, activate 100% simulated exterior view!"
"Understood, Captain!"
The seats and equipment in the ship slowly turned transparent, then seemed to disappear entirely. Xue Xi felt as if she were floating in boundless darkness. Only the occasional twinkle of distant stars kept her from losing her bearings.
She turned slowly, and a blue planet dotted with vast green landmasses came into view. The sight shook her so deeply that fear welled up from within. Even though she had a planet of her own in her Cultivation Space, she was an all-powerful god there. This was different.
But that fear of something so vast was soon cast aside. This was the planet that had nurtured her. What was there to be afraid of?
Floating quietly in the void, she gazed tenderly at the planet as it spun eternally, etching every detail of its surface into her mind so that she would never forget the place she called home.
Only after a long while did Xue Xi reluctantly look away and give her order. "Babata No. 1, begin a tour of the Solar System. Spend one day at each planet and collect all the terrain data there. Choose the route yourself."
Babata No. 1 lacked the intelligence of the original, and began mechanically carrying out Xue Xi's orders. "Yes, Captain!"
The Black Dragon Spaceship accelerated in an instant, eventually heading toward the nearest planet, Venus, at nearly the speed of light!
The stars in Xue Xi's eyes turned into streaks of colored light. They were clearly moving forward, yet she felt as if she were moving backward. But soon, after three minutes of near-light-speed travel, a yellow planet appeared before her.
This was the first stop on her journey: Venus!
Because of its terrifying greenhouse effect, Venus trapped enormous amounts of heat in its atmosphere, pushing its surface temperature up to 465°C, and possibly even over 500°C! Its upper atmosphere, however, was relatively temperate, leading some to speculate that life might be hiding there.
"Babata No. 1, begin analyzing Venus's environment. I want all the data in three minutes!"
Xue Xi put on a pair of sunglasses and gave orders to little Babata with the air of a domineering CEO. The spaceship's scanning and analysis equipment went to work, and soon the planet's environment had been analyzed.
"Reporting to the captain: Venus has an atmosphere composed of strong acids. Its atmospheric pressure is 92 times that of Earth's. The scanner has detected traces of phosphine, so the possibility of microorganisms living here cannot be ruled out!"
Xue Xi twirled a lock of her long hair around her finger. Venus's atmosphere was so dense that it was hard to see much from outside, so she decided to enter the planet and investigate more closely.
"Babata No. 1, prepare to land!"
The Black Dragon Mountain Ship headed straight into Venus's atmosphere. Xue Xi watched the analysis data that kept popping up on the screen: vast clouds of strong-acid mist and particles had formed a dense atmosphere.
Soon, the ship stopped above a massive expanse of black rock. The terrain here was highly unstable, and tremors could be heard now and then.
Xue Xi immediately expanded her domain, coating herself in armor formed from Origin Energy. Once she was ready, she opened the hatch and stepped outside.
Venus's atmosphere was made up of carbon dioxide, and its greenhouse effect was pronounced. The moment she left the ship, Xue Xi felt the temperature rise well past her comfort zone. She wasn't afraid of the heat, but that didn't mean it was pleasant.
She drew a special Hong Rank water called Ice Spirit Water from the Myriad Manifestation Water in her Cultivation Planet. She could only get a single drop; there was no way to obtain more.
But one drop was enough. Under the influence of the water-based Origin Energy in her domain, the Ice Spirit Water spread throughout her body. In an instant, Xue Xi felt as if she'd spent half a day baking under the 39-degree sun, only to find a Mixue Bingcheng with the central air conditioning on.
"Ah, that's refreshing!" Xue Xi let out a shiver of pleasure. Wait, something was still missing!
She reached out and picked a fresh lemon from a lemon tree in her Cultivation Planet. With a little work from her Chef God Domain, a glass of chilled lemon water, wreathed in icy mist, appeared in her hand.
