The middle-aged man led Danheng through the forest and arrived before an enormous pool of water.
Rather than a pool, it was more like a vast inland lake.
What made it unusual was that waves like those of the sea rolled across what should have been an utterly tranquil surface, moving without any wind.
At the center of the lake stood a triangular platform, the very place where Danheng had previously sensed energy fluctuations unlike those elsewhere.
As for the pointed stone pillar atop the triangular platform, Danheng could sense the aura of Poseidon's power from it. Though it was vastly weaker than the phantom he had seen before, it undoubtedly belonged to Poseidon.
"That would be Seahorse Douluo, right?"
Even from several hundred meters away, Danheng spotted the black-clad man seated beneath the stone pillar at a glance.
"Yes."
The yellow-clad middle-aged man glanced at Danheng and thought that, since this man was a Titled Douluo, Lord Seahorse could hardly blame him for disturbing his cultivation.
"This is Seahorse Pillar, one of Sea God Island's Seven Holy Pillars. Each Holy Pillar has been granted Divine Power by the great Sea God."
"Given your special status, we cannot speculate on what trial the Sea God will bestow upon you."
"However, only by passing the Sea God's trial may you move freely on Sea God Island. This has been an unchanging tradition of Sea God Island for countless years."
After explaining the situation to Danheng, the middle-aged man respectfully bowed toward Seahorse Pillar. At the same time, he used Soul Power to report to Seahorse Douluo:
"Reporting to Lord Seahorse, a Titled Douluo has arrived, claiming that he wishes to... uh... visit Sea God Island. I did not dare respond rashly and have come to ask for your decision."
