"It's Kamuro, not Kanzaki." Kamuro glared at Sawahara and corrected him.
"Is that so? Classmate Kamuro can talk after all." Sawahara looked both surprised and confused. "You usually just follow me around quietly without even saying hello. I thought you might have a speech impediment."
Hearing Sawahara's words, Kamuro realized he'd known all along that she'd been following him. He'd just deliberately kept quiet. His attitude, as if he were a cat toying with a mouse, annoyed her to no end.
If you'd already noticed, why didn't you do anything? Do you like being watched that much? Are you a pervert or something?
Kamuro cursed him silently, her glare growing more hostile by the second.
"Just as I thought. Not a dog, but a 'cat.'" Sawahara watched Kamuro's reaction and gave his verdict.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Kamuro furrowed her brow.
"Nothing. Let's go. Sakayanagi's probably getting impatient." Sawahara had no intention of explaining himself to the ruffled cat in front of him.
"Good day, Sawahara."
When Sawahara arrived, Sakayanagi Arisu rose from her chair, gathered the hem of her skirt, and gave a slight curtsy.
"Good day, Classmate Sakayanagi."
Sawahara looked at the petite girl smiling sweetly before him, all sorts of thoughts welling up inside him.
"Are you satisfied with the 'surprise' I gave you?"
"It was a very nice gift. I liked it." A smile appeared on Sawahara's face. Though his plans for this exam had been ruined, the other parts of his setup had advanced considerably, so it wasn't a complete loss.
"But was it worth it? Just to make my plan fail, you're getting nothing out of this exam either." Sawahara had more or less figured out what Sakayanagi had done, but he couldn't understand why she'd chosen to do it.
