The copper bell jingled behind them, and the door of the curio shop closed at their backs.

Vincent walked along the cobblestone road and glanced back at the tightly shut wooden door.

"Uncle Donald has always been like that. Don't take it to heart."

"I don't. If he'd asked for too little without feeling bad about it, then I'd have been upset."

Vincent burst out laughing at that and slipped his hands back into his coat pockets.

"By the way." He turned his head to look at Richard. "What are you planning to do with those two Curios?"

"They'll help with my training."

"Mm. Pure Aether filtered through Curios is indeed much easier to digest than Aether absorbed from the atmosphere."

After walking a few steps, Vincent's tone became a little more serious.

"But there's something I need to remind you about."

He raised his right hand, clenched it into a fist, then opened it again.

"The pure Aether in Curios is good stuff, but everyone's body has a limit to how much Aether it can absorb.

Having two or three Curios on hand and rotating between them is enough. Don't bite off more than you can chew.

If you pour too much pure Aether into yourself at once, your Internal Circulation won't be able to digest it, and you'll end up overloading your body."

He made an expanding gesture with his hand. "At best, you'll get headaches and vomit. At worst, your Internal Circulation will fall into disorder, and you'll need to lie around for a long time before recovering."

"I understand." Richard nodded.

On the surface, he humbly accepted his cousin's advice.

But his real purpose in seeking Curios had little to do with speeding up his training. What he wanted were the available points on the panel.
