Just as Momotaros was about to say the latter half—"leave"—Senba Gari cut him off.
"Let's go save him."
"Huh? Hey, are you stupid or something?! Even if that guy looks like you, you don't have to stick your nose into it! You can't just change history however you want!" Momotaros said.
"I know, but if this really is Gaia and the others' idea, then everything we've done may have been within their expectations all along. If this really is a thousand years ago, then that guy who looks like me has to be this era's chosen one, and also the first generation's chosen one." As Senba Gari planned in his mind how to save the man, he explained to Momotaros, "According to the history I know, this generation's chosen one doesn't die here. There may be some risk involved, but I have to save him!"
"...Ahhh! Seriously, every last one of you is like this. Fine! I'll help you this once. Also, I'm your senior, kid!" Momotaros scratched his head helplessly and tossed a mask in his hand to Senba Gari. "Take it. After all, every little thing you and I do here could change history. Wearing this can cut down on the trouble a little."

"So what are we doing?" Momotaros asked.
After catching the mask Momotaros tossed over, Senba Gari examined it briefly and found it seemed somewhat familiar, though he could not quite place it. The only thing that stood out was that its design closely resembled the half-human, half-beast face pattern on the revolver of the Beast Soul Bracelet.
Once he got a clear look at the mask, he did not think any further and put it on directly, leaving only his black eyes visible through the two eye holes.
