• Chen Changsheng returned to town after ten years of sleep, reunited with Nian Ci, and stayed at Crippled Li’s Coffin Shop, where he later cared for Li Niansheng after Nian Ci died.
• After Li Niansheng discovered her spiritual talent and left to join the Linglong Sect, Chen Changsheng traveled for decades, studied funeral trades, and opened a Coffin Shop in Linglong Town.

Chen Changsheng avenged his master by helping Emperor Zuo kill Master Yuhua, then followed Emperor Zuo into the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Ground. After decades of study and cultivation, he teleported to the Ten Thousand Mountains and set out to kill the Thunder Beast that held a Bronze Ancient Hall.

• Chen Changsheng exposed Master Yuhua as the traitor behind the Bronze Ancient Hall scheme, escaped with Yixiu, and later returned to help Emperor Zuo kill him.
• Chen Changsheng buried Li Jinshui and his grandmaster, reunited with Song Yuanshan, Yixiu, and Wanyan Yue, and left with Emperor Zuo for the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Ground.

Centuries later, he reached the Heaven’s Pride Assembly, where he began uncovering Divine Source Ore and drew the attention of the gathered Heaven’s Chosen.

• Chen Changsheng used the Wu Clan’s preparations and the Thunder Beasts’ weaknesses to kill Lei Shan and defeat Lei Yun’s forces, then shared their resources with the Wu Clan and repaired the teleportation array.
• Chen Changsheng left with A Man and A Li, learned that Nian Sheng was alive, and later parted from A Li while traveling with A Man toward the Eastern Wilderness.
• After centuries on the road, A Man died at sunrise, and Chen Changsheng visited Yixiu, who entered nirvana and died after warning him about Calamity.

The arc left him investigating Gongsun Huaiyu’s secret meeting with the Yaoguang Holy Son’s injured younger brother.
