Background / History

Ryuen first emerges during Class C’s leadership struggle when Kitazawa Minya directs Ishizaki’s attention toward him. He immediately kicks Ishizaki down, withstands attacks from Ishizaki’s companions, and beats Ishizaki until he begs for mercy. Ryuen then declares himself the class’s king, only to be challenged and badly injured by Yamada. Despite being unable to stand, he continues provoking Yamada and vows to defeat him one day. 19

While recovering, Ryuen refuses to regard the fight as a loss and insists that defeat is impossible until death. Minya proposes an alliance: Ryuen will serve as the visible leader through strength, while Minya manages the class’s ordinary students and resources.
