Background / History
Dai Mubai is the Third Prince of the Star Luo Empire who flees toward the Heaven Dou Empire and arrives quietly in Suotuo City. Oscar considers both his talent and royal position valuable, intending to recruit him and potentially support his ascent to the Star Luo throne for future reforms. 6 10 12
Oscar uses a fortune-teller persona to confront Dai Mubai with the harsh reality of his prospects for the throne. Angered but motivated, Dai Mubai resolves to see what Shrek Academy offers and joins it after being defeated by Oscar in sparring. 12 14
Though born into royalty, Dai Mubai comes to recognize the gap between himself and Oscar and Ma Hongjun. He trains with them, learns from Oscar's Taiji techniques, and receives practical support from Oscar's sausages during their journey to the Star Dou Great Forest. 17 18 19 32
Appearance
When his White Tiger Martial Soul is possessed, Dai Mubai undergoes a dramatic bestial transformation. 15
- Golden hair becomes predominantly white with distinct black strands.
- Four marks appear on his forehead, forming the character for “King.”
- His hands enlarge and grow white fur.
- He can extend blade-like claws roughly eight inches long.
- His dual-pupil Evil Eyes turn deep blue and give him a predatory, intimidating appearance. 15
Personality
Dai Mubai is proud, competitive, and accustomed to the confidence expected of a royal Power Attack Spirit Master. Being defeated by Oscar—a lower-ranked support-type Spirit Master—deeply embarrasses him, but he responds with fascination rather than hatred after recognizing Oscar as a worthy opponent. 14 15 17
He is capable of self-reflection. After Zhu Zhuqing confronts him, he acknowledges that he wronged her and later admits that his resentment toward Oscar stems less from Zhu Zhuqing choosing someone else than from feeling betrayed by someone he regarded as a brother. 51 58
Dai Mubai also displays practical judgment and strategic thinking. He takes combat threats seriously after his early losses, recognizes when an opponent is beyond his group’s ability to handle, and considers the potential value of keeping Xiao Wu under observation rather than acting rashly. 20 22 61
