After Long Zhanye killed the Nine-Colored Goddess and rescued Zhongli Wu, Zhongli Wu asked the Body Sect to shelter the defeated Evil Soul Masters. In the Divine Realm, Tang San and the God of Destruction clashed over the killing, while Tang San revealed he had sent the Phoenix God and a thousand Heavenly God Hunters to retrieve Xiao Qi and punish Long Zhanye.

The Phoenix God Ma Hongjun arrived with a thousand Heavenly God Hunters and challenged Long Zhanye, while the hunters attacked the Body Sect to retrieve Tang Wutong. The sect’s soul engineers repelled them with powerful defenses and weapons, but the hunters regrouped and prepared to break through the barrier.

Long Zhanye and the Body Sect fought off the hunters as Ma Hongjun's phoenix divine fire devastated the Holy Spirit Empire and battered the sect's defenses. Long Zhanye faced Ma Hongjun in a close-quarters duel, while the battle around them continued to threaten the Body Sect.
