Xu Xiaoyan stared at the gates of Eastsea Academy, feeling somewhat dazed.
In all honesty, she did not want to attend school here.
However, her elders at home had somehow received information that this year's Eastsea Academy was extraordinary.
She had been forced to enroll here.
Xu Xiaoyan pursed her lips, thinking to herself what could possibly be so special about an Eastsea Academy.
Looking at the class assignment list, she seemed to have been assigned to Class Zero of the first grade?
The homeroom teacher was Wu Zhangkong?
She didn't know him.
Following the location on the class list, Xu Xiaoyan finally found the classroom for Class Zero.
Upon entering the room, two students were already seated.
What caught her eye was a young boy and a young girl.
The boy looked average, but the girl was exceptionally beautiful.
"Big brother, she's looking at us."
Hearing this, the boy also noticed Xu Xiaoyan entering the classroom, and he took his sister's hand to step forward and greet her.
"Hello, my name is Tang Wulin, and this is my sister, Na'er."
Xu Xiaoyan looked at the hand extended toward her and chose to shake it politely.
"My name is Xu Xiaoyan. Is this your sister? She's very pretty."
"You've also joined Class Zero of the first grade; do you know what's going on?"
Tang Wulin exchanged a few more pleasantries with Xu Xiaoyan before being pulled back to their previous seats by Na'er.
"Big brother, help me brush my hair."
After sitting down, Na'er said in a somewhat spoiled tone.
"Didn't I just brush your hair? It's not messy at all."
Tang Wulin asked, feeling a bit puzzled.
"I don't care, I don't care, I just want you to brush my hair."
Na'er pouted and said.
Seeing that he couldn't win against his sister, Tang Wulin had no choice but to take out the comb their mother had packed for her when they left home.
While brushing her hair, he said to Xu Xiaoyan with a look of apology: "Sorry about that, I don't know what's gotten into my sister today, her temper is a bit strange."
What he didn't see was that while he was brushing Na'er's hair, Na'er cast a smug look at Xu Xiaoyan a few times.
Xu Xiaoyan took in this scene, shook her head, and without saying much more, chose an empty seat to sit down.
A short while later, a tall youth led a quirky-looking girl into the classroom.
"Big brother Long Yue, are these our classmates?"
The girl looked at the three students in the room and asked with curiosity.
The tall youth shook his head, indicating that he didn't know either.
He then pulled the girl along to sit in a seat together.
Before sitting down, the tall youth specifically glanced at Tang Wulin.
Time ticked by, second by second.
Xu Xiaoyan looked at the four people in the classroom, feeling a bit regretful about why she had come so early.
Just then, a youth with delicate features and another somewhat handsome youth stepped into the classroom at the same time.
Xu Xiaoyan's eyes brightened slightly, and she wanted to go up and greet them.
But just as Xu Xiaoyan was about to move, a biting chill instantly flooded into the classroom.
The cold was bone-chilling, dispelling Xu Xiaoyan's urge to move and simultaneously causing the other six people in the classroom to look up.
A figure in white walked into the classroom just like that.
Wu Zhangkong was wearing a blue teacher's uniform; although it was standard issue, it looked crisp and straight on him, making his ice-blue hair and cold, stern face look exceptionally handsome.
Following behind him was a woman with similarly long blue hair. Her gaze had barely left Wu Zhangkong, though she quickly composed herself after entering the classroom.
The two walked straight to the podium, their gazes sweeping calmly over the students sitting below.
His brows furrowed; it seemed one person was missing.
Wu Zhangkong shook his head and finally spoke his first words upon entering the classroom.
"My name is Wu Zhangkong." His voice was not loud, yet it reached the ears of every student clearly, "I am the homeroom teacher for this class."
"This is Long Bing, my wife."
Wu Zhangkong gestured to introduce the woman who had accompanied him.
"From now on, the two of us will be responsible for your cultivation. Of course, I will be handling most things."
"I will primarily be in charge of your combat training, while Long Bing will explain some theoretical knowledge to you."
"I know some of you have special identities, but I can tell you clearly that I will treat everyone equally."
"If you have any questions, you may ask them now."
There was no intense or passionate opening speech, only brief and powerful information.
Long Yue was the first to speak up, asking, "Teacher, what are we going to do?"
Wu Zhangkong glanced at him, then nodded.
"Become stronger, constantly become stronger, and then participate in the competition to win first place."
"Teacher, how strong are you?"
Xu Xiaoyan looked at the two people on the podium, who could be described as a celestial couple, and asked with some curiosity.
"There is nothing to hide. I am a seven-ring Soul Saint, and my wife is at the eight-ring level."
After saying this, Wu Zhangkong looked at Long Bing with deep affection.
"Wow!"
This action drew an exclamation from Xu Xiaoyan, but she soon realized she was the only one who had made a sound.
She covered her mouth, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Knock, knock, knock."
Just at this moment, a series of knocks sounded at the door.
Wu Zhangkong opened the door to find a young girl with delicate features standing there.
Although the girl's appearance could not be called outstanding, she possessed an ethereal temperament that made her extremely pleasant to look at.
"Excuse me, is this Class Zero? My teacher told me to come here for class."
"I'm sorry, the journey was a bit long, which delayed me for some time."
Wu Zhangkong looked at the person in front of him and frowned slightly, but still let her in.
"You are the latest to arrive, so why don't you start by introducing yourself to everyone."
The girl was poised and graceful, showing no signs of stage fright.
"Hello everyone, my name is Gu Yue. I am very happy to be studying with all of you."
Gu Yue's eyes first glanced at Long Yue, then immediately fixed on Tang Wulin.
Tang Wulin was likewise drawn to the girl named Gu Yue.
Just then, a small hand suddenly tapped Tang Wulin lightly on the back of his head.
Although Tang Wulin didn't feel any pain, he still asked curiously, "Na'er, what are you doing?"
Na'er let out a dainty huff: "Brother, why do you keep staring at her?"
"Am I not pretty enough?"
Tang Wulin was left between laughter and tears, gently stroking Na'er's silver hair.
"How could that be? My sister Na'er is the prettiest."
On the podium, Gu Yue took in this scene, yet she maintained her smile.
Walking off the podium, Gu Yue headed straight toward Tang Wulin.
"Excuse me, may I sit in the seat next to you?"
Tang Wulin looked at the empty seat beside him and was about to agree.
Unexpectedly, Na'er suddenly said, "No, you should sit somewhere else!"
As she spoke, she actually stood up and sat directly in that seat.
Tang Wulin looked at Gu Yue and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, my sister is in a bad mood today. She isn't usually like this."
Gu Yue continued to smile and said, "It's fine. Since she doesn't want me to, I'll go sit somewhere else."
After saying this, Gu Yue found a random seat and sat down.
Seeing that everyone had quieted down, Wu Zhangkong stood back up on the podium.
"This afternoon, we will conduct combat assessments in groups to test your true strength."
"Xie Xie, Xu Xiaoyan, you two stay behind. Everyone else is dismissed."
