Ch. 163Searching for the Star Luo Continent

Chen Yuan forced the Demon Empress to search for the Star Luo Continent and took a piece of her soul as insurance. After meeting Chen Yang, he traveled to Vast Sea City, where he hoped to find information about the Sea God Clan.

  • Chen Yuan demonstrated his strength to the Demon Empress and demanded that she find the Star Luo Continent and another continent, then take him there.
  • The Demon Empress agreed after Chen Yuan promised her a chance to kill Sea God Tang San, and he took a portion of her soul before releasing Lan Fozi.
  • Chen Yang arrived while pursuing the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, and Chen Yuan told him he had driven the beast away.
  • Chen Yang recognized Chen Yuan's golden Soul Ring as evidence of a divine inheritance and invited him to Vast Sea City.
  • Chen Yuan accompanied Chen Yang to Vast Sea City, which was in disarray after a recent Sea Soul Beast tide.

Ch. 164The Sea God's Past

Chen Yang brought Chen Yuan to the hidden Sea God Clan settlement and shared its history and records about Sea God Tang San. As Chen Yuan searched the scrolls, he learned that Tang San had ordered the clan to stay out of the continental collision four thousand years earlier, leaving him to question the clan’s role as Tang San’s fallback.

  • Chen Yang invited Chen Yuan to read non-secret clan records after Chen Yuan said he had come to Vast Sea City to learn about Tang San’s path to godhood.
  • Chen Yang introduced Chen Yuan to the City Lord as the man who had driven off the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, then led him to the Sea God Clan’s concealed settlement.
  • Chen Yang showed Chen Yuan murals and explained the clan’s descent from followers of the First Generation Sea God and its ties to Sea God Island.
  • Chen Yang gave Chen Yuan scrolls about events surrounding Tang San’s ascension and said the records suggested gods had a limited number of people they could bring to the Divine Realm.
  • Chen Yuan asked why the Sea God Clan had not intervened in the continental collision four thousand years earlier, and Chen Yang said the clan had been unable to act for reasons he could not disclose.
  • Chen Yuan recalled that Tang San had personally ordered the clan to remain in seclusion and concluded that Tang San had treated it as a fallback without giving it much attention.
