The enormous airship was already positioned above the Pirate King's Court. In the shadow beneath it, a group of Banshees were arguing fiercely with several engineers.

Nini led the Banshees' side. Though she was not particularly steady-tempered, she always had strange and inventive ideas—and transporting the Pirate King was precisely the sort of task that needed that quality.

That was why Theus had entrusted her with the important task of figuring out how to hoist it.

On the other side, standing with her hands on her hips and glaring at Nini, was Gaia.

Ever since the war had stopped, the explosives production lines under her management had finally been able to slow down. There was temporarily no need for so much output—explosives were not well suited for long-term storage, at least not the types Castel currently produced.

So Theus had decisively shut down most of the production lines and reassigned the manpower to furnace construction.

Although the furnace design had not yet been fully finalized, the preliminary preparations alone were a massive undertaking. From the intricate steam piping to the factory layout and wiring, the necessary work could not be completed in just a day or two.

Several engineers, including Gaia, had also been sent here to study the feasibility of hoisting that monster out of the Pirate King's Court.

They were all veteran engineers. Theus had poured the most effort into training them, personally teaching them every step of the way. They had received the full advanced-course training, rather than being engineers hastily trained during wartime.

As for the Banshees on the other side, their skill level was no lower. Theus's lessons were basically broadcast live through the Banshees' Mind Link. Multitasking was effortless for Banshees; while doing their own work, they had completed all of Theus's courses.
