News of Nora's death in battle in the Northern Territory, and of her head being cut off, quickly spread across the entire island.

The newspapers published by Castel devoted a full three pages to reporting the circumstances surrounding Nora's death.

From workers to the Faithguard Army, from Moth Chasing Flame to the Banshee, everyone began discussing the matter.

Some people knew Nora. Though the short little girl rarely smiled and her medical practice was somewhat... rough, she had never minded helping the people of the island.

She had helped villagers drive off wild beasts, and had even used the Link to give food-stealing coyotes a hard smack on the backside. Though they were all trivial little things, many people remembered that white-haired girl.

She wore thick clothing that seemed somewhat out of place, and her customs differed from those of the islanders, but the kindness in her heart was the same.

Nora had always been like this. In the Northern Territory, she had been willing to risk her life to save refugees; on the island, she had helped the poor, even though she herself was struggling.

Word spread quickly. Before long, stories of the many little things she had done began circulating among the islanders, and that somewhat distant name gradually became more tangible.

The workers spoke of their past encounters with her, while the Faithguard Army discussed Nora as well.

There had often been spontaneous study groups at the churches of Empire Truth before, but now they increasingly began discussing Nora and the Northern Territory. Theus had always warned the Faithguard Army not to engage in yield worship, but they unanimously agreed that this problem truly ought to be solved with yield.

They might not have met Nora, but who had not seen a few utterly vile noble lords?
