Isaac's gaze deepened.
He had wanted to say something, but in the end, he remained silent.
After a moment of silence, he merely said, "Miss Gwen, it's getting late. Let's plan tomorrow's operation."
Gwen nodded.
Ever since the Resistance Army had set up camp in this new forest, quite a few people had come to join them every few days.
Most of them were locals from the Northern Territory, driven to the brink of death by their own lords. They could only rely on the Resistance Army led by these White Crows to help them seek justice.
Gwen was somewhat surprised to find that, whether it was their will to fight or their hatred for the lords and the Winter Wolves, these people surpassed the outsiders in the Resistance Army. Every one of them clamored to take part in battle.
And the Resistance Army truly was preparing for battle.
This had been Isaac's suggestion. He proposed that the Resistance Army station itself in this forest and continuously send small units to harass the Winter Wolves.
First, it would divide the Winter Wolves' attention. Second, the Resistance Army itself had many women and children, so this method allowed them to concentrate their superior forces for more efficient attacks.
There was another benefit as well: it would win them popular support.
The conflict between the Northern Territory's subjects, the noble lords, and the Winter Wolf Guard was nearly impossible to reconcile. Isaac had keenly noticed this, and after discussing it with Gwen, they raised the banner of resistance.
The Resistance Army had once resisted merely to survive. Now, as more and more people from the Northern Territory joined them, they fought against tyranny for the people of this land as well.
Besides, the Resistance Army truly had strength and dared to fight.
