"Captain Hodge, another marker appeared ahead!"
Taking a deep breath, Hodge looked up at the airships overhead and said in a low voice, "Follow it."
They had originally been Expeditionary Force troops stationed near the train, but earlier that day, a tremendous explosion had erupted near the camp. When they went to investigate, they found a string of words left on the ground.
Someone was pointing them toward the Resistance Army.
Whether it was Hodge, Erwin, or Alexei, their first thought was that this was a trap. Since when had the Expeditionary Force ever had allies in the Northern Territory?
But... the Expeditionary Force's biggest problem right now was that not only could they not find Gwen's group of Resistance Army fighters, they could barely find the enemy either.
So Alexei did not hesitate to assign Hodge a large unit, along with airship support, and sent him following the guidance.
It would be best if they found the Resistance Army. Even if it was a trap, that was fine too—they could vent their frustrations by having a hard fight with the other side. As for whether this was a ploy to lure the tiger from the mountain so they could attack the camp after the Expeditionary Force left...
Leaving aside the concrete fortifications that had yet to fully set, the Expeditionary Force had a whole pile of armored train engines parked here. Alexei would like to see what weapon could break through a locomotive's defenses.
And so Hodge led his men here.
"Captain! The airships have sent a signal! Resistance Army forces spotted ahead—they're fighting!"
"Damn it, it really is the Resistance Army! Boys, set up the heavy machine guns! Send the scouts—"
"Captain! The Battlefield Press Corps charged in!"
Hodge stared dumbfoundedly as Nini, carrying a pile of Gatling
