"The Expeditionary Force's food reserves are quite abundant at the moment, even counting the newly arrived Resistance Army. The same goes for ammunition and weapons as well, uh..."
Hodge hesitated, then asked in confusion, "My lord, forgive my bluntness, but the Expeditionary Force will probably never use up all this ammunition and equipment. Aren't our reserves a little excessive?"
Theus merely waved a hand and smiled.
"It's no trouble. Castel and Blood Port's factories have no shortage of production capacity, and rail transport costs little as well. There's no harm in stockpiling more equipment. Wasting production capacity is still far better than running short on ammunition and having soldiers fill the gap with their lives, isn't it?"
Hodge pursed his lips and nodded heavily.
"Aside from these reserves, how are the Resistance Army's evacuation arrangements progressing?"
"We prioritized evacuating the wounded first. Although the Expeditionary Force's camp lacks no supplies, its medical conditions are still somewhat poor. Sending them back to Blood Port can save many more lives. Aside from those too severely injured to endure the train journey, nearly all the rest are being sent back to Blood Port as a priority."
"Bring them back first. Blood Port is somewhat short on doctors as well, but the conditions are at least better than on the front lines." Theus sighed.
Castel's greatest weakness at present was, in fact, medical care.
In previous battles, Castel had either utterly crushed its opponents, suffering barely any casualties, or fought monsters where even grazing one meant death—there had been no chance to be wounded and retreat.
As a result, there had been little demand for doctors, and doctors had not had many patients to practice on either.
This time, however, the arrival of the Resistance Army's wounded had immediately filled Blood Port's hospitals to
