Nini happily wagged her tail. After exchanging a few words with the station staff, the switchman moved over a train pulling passenger cars.
"Let's go. This train transports copper ore and only carries passengers as an extra service, so it might not be very comfortable."
Naturally, the priests of the Silent Temple had no objections. When they had evacuated from White Crow before, they had ridden in carriages—carriages with neither suspension nor rubber tires. No amount of cushions inside could have helped, and given the Temple's usual style, they would never have added such furnishings anyway.
Sit in one of those carriages for half an hour, and even bladder stones would get jolted loose.
Compared to that, the bumps from a train running on rails were practically negligible.

Gwen froze for a moment before realizing what she meant. Just as she instinctively lowered her head to look at Nora, Nora had already bitten down.
"Ahhh, Lady Nora, I haven't done anything yet!!!"
The experienced Nora would not be fooled again. If she did not bite now, then once Gwen held her outside later, she would only be able to bite air.
Nini revealed a satisfied smile, stretched out her tail, climbed onto the overhead luggage rack, and lay down comfortably.
The carriage was only
