Nora looked at the coffin, and her face immediately darkened.
If she had hands, she would probably have jumped up and started hitting someone by now.
Nora had wanted to get angry, but when she saw that Chloe was the one giving her the gift, she hesitated instead.
How should she put it? Anyone might make a joke out of Nora, but Chloe alone would not. Nora at least still had a head, while Chloe did not even have that.
So.
Nora looked into Chloe's clear eyes and determined that she simply had not noticed the issue. Well, perhaps Tata had rubbed off on her too.
But Nora lowered her gaze to look at the coffin again. This really was hard to miss!
"Ahem!" Theus coughed lightly. Looking at Nora, who was gradually turning red with rage, he decided to step in and soothe her. "Nora, don't worry about whether it looks like a coffin. Look, it's mechanical, and it has a sliding lid!"
Theus slapped the self-propelled wheelchair, and with a whoosh, its hatch automatically opened, revealing the passenger compartment inside.
Because of the compact layout and the fact that it had been custom-built for Nora, the compartment was just large enough to hold Nora's head.
Nora looked at the custom sliding-lid mechanical coffin and fell silent for a moment.
"An-anyway, try it first!" At Theus's signal, Helena stuffed Nora inside, shut the hatch, fastened the padlock, and secured it with the buckles.
"Why does this feel a little wrong?" Nora's muffled voice came from inside. "Why am I strapped down so securely?"
"Oh, that was my idea. I originally wanted to use an ordinary seat belt, but with your shape, it wasn't convenient to buckle one on, so we made an external seat belt instead," Theus said casually.
