Nora was furious. She glared viciously at Nini.

Unfortunately, the arrow keys ↑↓←→ were still stamped on her forehead, making Nini laugh even harder.

"Alright, alright, these are all minor issues." After finally stopping her laughter, Nini patted Nora's head, which was biting her tail, then walked over to the self-propelled wheelchair and held out her hand.

Before long, the slightly warped steel began to soften. Nini casually kneaded it a few times and secured it back into position.

Spell: Turn Stone to Mud—Nini's Improved Version: Turn Iron to Mud.

Nini had not used that spell in a long time. The last time had been when she hand-built a Steam Engine. Come to think of it, several of Castel's prototype machines had all been made by Nini's own hands.

With a soft "pop," Nini pulled Nora off her tail, stuffed her back into the coffin, and closed the mechanical lid. "I just spoke with the Machine Soul and adjusted the thrust setting. It should be normal now. Give it a try."

As she spoke, she casually fastened the external safety belt and even tied it into a bow.

Nora: "."

Nora said, "Alright. I'll try again."

This time, having learned her lesson, Nora turned toward the window. That way, even if she got launched again, she would have time to hit the ejection button.

All she could do was hope the seat ejection—no, wheelchair ejection—had been properly equipped with a parachute.

Even Theus had not expected that the wheelchair ejection function he had added on a whim would actually be needed one day—and on its very first day of use, no less.

After communicating with the Machine Soul, Nora took another deep breath and, with a face full of grim determination, stepped on the accelerator—meaning she pressed the ↑ key.
