Thus, quite a few people on the streets and alleys of Blood Port witnessed banshees writhing on the ground like maggots—a truly bizarre sight.
Everything about their lord was good, except that sometimes, the things he said could be rather infuriating.
Of course, it was perfectly fine when he was infuriating someone else, like now.
Even through the Mind Link, the banshees could feel Little Gwen's rage boiling over, and they were certain she would not come through the link to assassinate him.
Well, if she had wanted to assassinate him, she would have done it long ago.
"You, you, you!!!!"
Little Gwen flew into a furious rage. She desperately wanted to curse at him, but when one was seeing red, it was impossible to organize coherent speech. Right now, she was like a goose being strangled, capable only of letting out meaningless roars.
Theus also realized something was off. From Little Gwen's reaction, she apparently had not simply come to acknowledge him as her father.
Besides, he had never been particularly good at understanding human nature. He knew far more about machines instead, so he probably would not make a good father... He was getting sidetracked.
After pondering for a moment, Theus tried to analyze the situation. "You contacted me through the Mind Link and brought up something about a father... This father is probably a codename, right? Not an actual father?"
That was true enough, and Little Gwen's rage subsided slightly.
"This should be related to Transcendence... So you wanted to ask whether I'm a Transcendence user of the [Father] pathway?"
Little Gwen: "?"
She felt her anger beginning to rise again.
"How could there possibly be such a bizarre pathway?! And it sounds incredibly weird, okay?!"
