"Still can't get in touch with the outside?"
"Still no, Captain!"
Kyle anxiously punched the radio's iron casing, then turned to glance at the other soldiers in the room.
They were the Faithguard Army squad stationed on the island, tasked with observing and recording the Sea God. Most of the island's people had already evacuated, and the equipment and weapons left for them were all the best available.
But at this moment, nearly everyone in the room was injured.
"Kyle, those Fishmen are climbing up again!" The political commissar at the door called out in a lowered voice. The Faithguard Army soldiers immediately picked up their guns.
Kyle hurried to the doorway and carefully peeked outside.
"Oh, damn it. These shit-eating Horse-faced Fish just never stop!"
"What do we do? We're not far from the church dome. There are plenty of airships reserved there. We can definitely find one that works. At least we can evacuate!"
Everyone in the room turned their eyes to Kyle.
Kyle licked his lips without answering, instead looking outside the church.
Castel beyond the window was almost covered in a layer of black.
"The entire island is full of those Sea Urchin Monsters now. Escaping won't be hard, but organizing an army to fight its way back in later will be difficult." Kyle spoke softly.
"Those Sea Urchin Monsters... are they strong?"
"Very strong." Kyle's expression turned solemn. "I went through the Deep Sea War and fought these monsters head-on. They're completely immune to light weapons, and even heavy firepower has limited effect. Our weapons can wipe them out now, but under that kind of saturation fire, the Stellar Furnace probably won't survive."
"But we have an opportunity right now."
"Perhaps the church is too cramped for them to enter. Those monsters have only appeared
