Igniting the Stellar Furnace was not merely a matter of starting up the equipment; it required the coordination of the entire system.
The Stellar Furnace was not a simple furnace. In truth, it was an entire complex system, encompassing combustion, functionality, power output, and the suppression of the god imprisoned within.
Because it was far too enormous, it could not be compared to an ordinary Steam Engine. A Steam Engine was built first and then its Machine Soul was awakened, but the Stellar Furnace could not be handled that way.
Only after ignition was complete would the Stellar Furnace's Machine Soul truly awaken. Its Machine Soul had some sort of symbiotic relationship with the god imprisoned inside, like a tree's roots digging into the soil and holding the earth beneath firmly in place so it would not fall apart.
That was also why the Stellar Furnace could suppress a god.
Thus, assembling it was only the first step. Ignition was the main event.
Theus placed his hand against the outer wall of the furnace chamber. He could already faintly sense the Machine Soul's presence. At that moment, it was still as frail as a seed and needed the ignition ritual to grow.
The engineers carried out their final inspections. Only after everything had been completed did they report the results to Theus.
"Begin." Theus braced himself against the furnace chamber. The Machine Soul was linked to his will and was ready as well.
Barrel after barrel of Pollution was poured into the furnace. It would serve as kindling, burning within the furnace chamber first. Then Theus would awaken the Machine Soul and complete the true ignition ritual.
Before long, the Pollution had been fully injected, and the filling port was sealed again. The engineers operated the controls in the main
