Ning Chen fought the Four Extremes Sacred Lands and the Eternal Night Divine Cult while Great Xia collapsed under poison, rebellion, and Xia Ziyi’s demonic transformation. After the Ghost Maiden died in his arms, Ning Chen confronted the Four Extremes Realm Lord with the Human Buddha and Du'e Temple Abbot.

• Ning Chen killed Duke Muyang, took Li Youwei to the Lihuo Royal Palace, and accepted her military command token in exchange for helping the dynasty.
• Ning Chen destroyed Longevity Palace, took its accumulated fortune, and helped the injured Golden Staff National Master investigate the White Mist Insect Swarms and the Four Extremes Sacred Lands.
• Ning Chen defeated Duke Qinghua, then destroyed the Four Extremes Sacred Lands’ teleportation formation and fought through its insect swarm alongside the Golden Staff National Master.
• The Confucian Sect poisoned Xia Ziyi and the princes and orchestrated attacks that killed Marquis Buyi and Marquis Ziyang, while Zong Qianqiu abducted Xia Xinyu.
• Xia Ziyi fell to demonic corruption and vanished with Consort Luo, while Ning Chen retaliated against the Confucian Sect and drove the Eternal Night forces east.
• Ning Chen gave A'man the Knowing Fate Sword, fought the Four Extremes Realm Lord above the Imperial City, and rushed north to battle the Underworld King Yama, who was the Ghost Maiden.
• The Ghost Maiden died in Ning Chen’s arms, and Xia Ziyi gravely wounded Wang You as she tried to reach Great Xia for help.
• Ning Chen joined the Du'e Temple Abbot and Human Buddha against the Four Extremes Realm Lord, whose Calamity of Flame Hell shattered their Buddhist realm as Ning Chen prepared to act.

Ning Chen helped Great Xia defeat the Four Extremes coalition, then confronted the growing threat of the Eternal Night Divine Cult. The arc ended with Ning Chen learning that Xia Ziyi’s life soul was missing and promising Xin Yu he would find a way to save him.

• Ning Chen and Mu Bai wounded the Four Extremes Realm Lord, but Xuan Zhi later killed him and exposed his allegiance to the Eternal Night Divine Cult.
• Ning Chen fought through the cult’s forces to rescue Wang You and Xia Xinyu, while Great Xia’s army routed the Four Extremes coalition and Luan Fengchen killed Xuan Zhi.
• Ning Chen helped Zijing reach Xiantian and joined Sword Bodhi in driving Rong Lou away, then learned that a greater calamity threatened the Divine Continent.
• Ning Chen and Sword Bodhi traveled to the Eternal Night Divine Cult, where Mu Bai challenged the Cult Master and Ning Chen shot him with the Heavenly Pardon Arrow, though he survived.
• The cult’s allies wounded Sword Bodhi, but Li Luo rescued him, and Ning Chen learned that Seven Absolutes Heaven and Hades stood behind the cult.
• Ning Chen arranged to exchange Qu Li for Xia Ziyi, but the exchange became a battle in which Qu Li revealed her true appearance and struck Bian Jiang.
• Ning Chen and Sword Bodhi restrained and purified the Devil Lord, but Sword Bodhi discovered that demonic aura had consumed Ziyi’s heart and his life soul was missing.

Ning Chen fought to secure the divine beast sources and recover Xia Ziyi’s soul as Bian Jiang and the Hades King’s influence threatened the Divine Continent. After Qu Li died protecting him and the Extreme Heaven Grand Array began activating, Ning Chen entered the array with his allies, where Meng Xuanji fell shielding him and Ning Chen burned his origin to attack its defenders.

• Ning Chen fought Xuantian to a final clash, then joined forces with Li Luo to oppose the Hades King and recover Xia Ziyi’s soul from the Central Spirit Domain.
• Bian Jiang seized the phoenix sources, but Ning Chen, Mu Chengxue, and Mu Qianshang ambushed him and reclaimed the source before the barrier broke and Luo Xingchen’s group crossed into the Divine Continent.
• Ning Chen forced the Phoenix Source to form a Phoenix Body during his battle with Luan Fengchen and Rong Lou, then pursued Rong Lou through the Third Xiantian Tribulation.
• Qu Li took Taowu’s source, and the Hades King descended through her and gravely wounded Ning Chen, Mu Chengxue, and Li Luo, and Qu Li died shielding Li Luo from Bian Jiang as the others escaped.
• Ning Chen learned that Qu Li had died saving him and Li Luo, then coordinated resistance as Zong Qianqiu used three divine beast origins to activate the Extreme Heaven Grand Array.
• Ning Chen gathered the Golden Staff National Master, the Eternal Night Cult Master, the Du'e Temple Abbot, Meng Xuanji, and Marquis Kaixuan to enter the array and confront its defenders.
• Luo Xingchen defeated Mu Bai with the Red Piercing Divine Arrow, while Ning Chen’s allies fought Zong Qianqiu, Bian Jiang, Huazhuang, and Canfeng inside the array.
• Meng Xuanji shielded Ning Chen from Zong Qianqiu’s strike and fell, and Ning Chen burned his origin, killed Canfeng, and drove King Yama’s Divine Sword into Zong Qianqiu.

Ning Chen and his allies fought the Underworld King, who fell only after the survivors broke through his defenses at enormous cost. With Ning Chen’s soul incomplete and the Five Domains reunited, Great Xia faced rebellion and invasion before Ning Chen awoke and ended the siege of its capital.

• Ning Chen’s soul was preserved at Thousand Snow Lake while Xia Ziyi led Great Xia through the approach of Eternal Night and helped organize another attempt to break the formation.
• The Underworld King descended, killed many defenders, and survived the sacrifices of The Master, Jiang Wangji, the Daoist Patriarch, and others while gathering divine beast origins.
• Ning Chen reunited his souls and joined Xia Ziyi and Mu Chengxue in battle, wounding the Underworld King before collapsing, and the survivors sealed the passage to the Four Extremes Realm and prepared for the next fight.
• Ning Chen and Luan Fengchen killed Rong Lou, while Fan Lingyue and the allied forces restrained the Underworld King in a final battle, and the god absorbed Ning Chen and restored his source.
• The surviving fighters shattered the Underworld King’s defenses, and Xia Ziyi pierced his heart, and Knowing Fate claimed the Ghost Source, but his remnant soul vanished, leaving Nu Chang to search for the Phoenix Source to restore him.
• The Five Domains merged as Great Xia faced rebellion and invading armies, and Ning Chen woke at the Zhiming Marquisate, defeated the attackers, and went to the capital to end its siege.
• Ning Chen ordered Mingyue, the Barbarian Crown Prince, and the Nine Cities rebels to withdraw, killed the rebel commander when he refused, and accepted the remaining rebels’ surrender.
