The man revealed himself as the Black Phoenix and gave Ning Chen half of his Imperial Dao Origin, urging him to refine it and return within thirty years.

• Ning Chen met the imprisoned man again and found that the chains were inscribed with powerful Imperial Dao Law.
• Ning Chen struck the chains with Ghost Sword, but the talismans unleashed yin fire that tormented the prisoner, and the chains remained intact.
• Ning Chen apologized for failing to free the man and said he would return if he attained the Imperial Dao.
• The man offered Ning Chen an item to boost his strength, but Ning Chen initially refused to make a new promise and turned to leave.

Ning Chen took half of the Black Phoenix’s Imperial Dao Origin and hurried to the Underworld, hoping to discover her weakness. There, his Demonic Body awakened Yin’er’s Phoenix Body after destroying the descending Immortal Gate, while Xuanqi clashed with the Divine Realm’s Seven Kings and the chapter ended with a phoenix cry.

• Ning Chen sealed half of the Black Phoenix’s Imperial Dao Origin into his body and promised to return and rescue her.
• Ning Chen reasoned that the Ancient Immortal Lord might have been unable to kill the Black Phoenix, then left for the Underworld to seek her weakness.
