Apricot Blossom Tree (Second Update)

On Fengyuan Star, Heavenly Language Peak was a paradise of the mortal world blanketed in snow all year round. Atop the peak stood an apricot tree covered in white blossoms, which showed no sign of withering amid the wind and snow.

A wondrous sight of the mortal world—the apricot blossoms blooming amid snow were pristine and pure, surpassing even the cold snow filling the heavens.

Beneath the apricot blossom tree stood a woman in a plain white dress, her eyes closed. Her entire being seemed to meld into Heaven and Earth, transcendent and untainted by the mundane, as though she might shatter the void and depart at any moment.

The Heaven Speaker of the mortal world was said to be the sole human capable of communicating with Heaven and Earth, an existence comparable to gods and Buddhas, revered by the people since ancient times.

Whether by coincidence or Heaven's favor toward women, throughout countless millennia, every generation of Heaven Speakers had been female. Not a single man had ever appeared among them.

At the foot of the mountain, Ning Chen arrived while holding Yin'er's hand. Out of respect, he had chosen to climb the mountain on foot.

On the peak, the woman seemed unaware of their arrival. She continued to observe the myriad phenomena of the mortal world with her eyes closed, experiencing the suffering of the Three Thousand Mortal Worlds.

Half a day later, Ning Chen reached the summit. Looking at the woman beneath the apricot blossom tree, he politely bowed and said, "I am Ning Chen. Greetings, Heaven Speaker."

The woman turned around, looked at the person before her, and calmly said, "You have come."

The Heaven Speaker's unremarkable tone beneath the tree sounded as though she were greeting a friend she had not seen for many years.
