I Was Kidnapped

"Junior." A fragrant scent wafted over, a flash of long white hair caught his eye, and a familiar, pretty figure appeared before Yagami Shizuka.

"Senior Kiryuin!" Yagami Shizuka recognized her instantly.

"Hey! I'm glad you still remember me. Do you have any idea how much trouble you got me into last time? The student council has been breathing down my neck ever since."

"I am very sorry. Is there anything I can do to help clear things up?" Yagami Shizuka knew the score; it was only natural for the student council to target Kiryuin.

"That won't be necessary. They don't have any evidence, otherwise, they wouldn't just be pestering me—they would have deducted points directly. But what's this?" Kiryuin looked at the two trays in Yagami Shizuka's hands, assuming he was getting a double portion because one wasn't enough.

"Oh." Yagami Shizuka looked at one of the trays. "This is for a girl in my class. She has trouble walking and isn't in the best health, so I'm helping her get her meal."

"Oh, do you need a hand?"

"That would be a great help, Senior." Yagami Shizuka generously held out the tray, letting her help him carry the food.

"My junior is such a bleeding heart, even helping the disabled," Kiryuin Fuka remarked casually.

"Please don't say that, Senior. If she heard you, she wouldn't be happy."

"Then, if one day I were to become physically incapacitated, would you take care of me just like you're taking care of her?" Kiryuin Fuka asked with a playful smile.

"Of course. Though I hope that day never comes. If you ever need me to get your food, I'll be happy to do it." This was a sincere sentiment; if Kiryuin needed his help, he wouldn't refuse.

"Good, I've received your kind intentions."

Kiryuin Fuka's mood instantly brightened, and she continued, "Let me tell you a little secret, Junior. Today is my birthday. I don't want much, I just want to ask if you could accompany me out this afternoon and spend a little bit of your money on me?"

When it came to spending points, Yagami Shizuka hesitated.

Receiving an invitation from Kiryuin Fuka was an honor, and furthermore, he would need her help in the future; Yagami Shizuka genuinely wanted to be friends with her.

When a friend has a birthday, it goes without saying that you should do whatever makes them happy and help them fulfill their wishes.

He hadn't even confirmed his relationship with Sakayanagi Arisu yet, but he already felt like he was under the thumb of a wife.

Yagami Shizuka looked at the tray in her hand and said, "Don't settle for the free set meal, Senior. Let me treat you to something better."

"Great!" Kiryuin Fuka was overjoyed.

Before long, Kiryuin Fuka left happily, carrying a tray piled high with food.

She had wanted to sit with Yagami Shizuka, but he declined, citing that it wouldn't be convenient.

Yagami Shizuka carried the two trays back to where Sakayanagi Arisu was sitting.

Sakayanagi Arisu was clearly displeased, muttering, "You said you were going to treat me to a big meal, but it turns out you were treating someone else. You owe me an explanation."

Even Sakayanagi Arisu didn't know why she was so angry; she felt her reaction was justified, and that only a fool wouldn't be upset.

"It's Kiryuin's birthday today. She's out of points and doesn't have many friends. The information I obtained last time was thanks to her help. "Can you not go?" Sakayanagi Arisu frowned. She understood what Yagami Shizuka meant—he was simply worried that Kiryuin would spend too much.

Sakayanagi Arisu didn't answer; it wasn't impossible that she might "eat" him.

"Since the points are being handed over to you, I'm perfectly willing to let you spend them however you like."

Yagami Shizuka flirted with Sakayanagi Arisu with a silver tongue, "Now no one can ever surpass your position in my heart, because you've already occupied half of my entire world."

It had to be said that Sakayanagi Arisu actually fell for this line; while she didn't say anything aloud, she was secretly delighted, and even her meal tasted much better.

Because of this one sentence, the previous unpleasantness had long since vanished into thin air, and she didn't even bother to dwell on the fact that Yagami Shizuka had gone out with Kiryuin Fuka.

In the afternoon.

Yagami Shizuka and Kiryuin Fuka met downstairs at the dormitory building as agreed.

By this time, Kiryuin Fuka had already changed into cool summer attire.

She ran toward Yagami Shizuka with great enthusiasm.

"Then wait for me for a second." Yagami Shizuka quickly ran back to his dorm, put the jacket away, and headed back downstairs.
