Disguised Operation

In some corner of the Maze Cube world, muddy-yellow rivers surged and roared, while towering peaks rose in endless succession. Water and land crisscrossed and blended together, forming a gorge region of treacherous, extraordinary terrain.

At one edge of this place, a faint ripple suddenly appeared across the barrier at the far end. Then, three figures flew out in rapid succession.

All three were female.

Leading the way at the front was a tall, slender woman with naturally pale-purple skin and a head full of densely braided long hair. She was Betasha, the eldest sister of Sweet Home.

Following behind Betasha to the right was the second woman. Her burly physique was no less imposing than a man's, and her dark-green scalp was topped with a neat buzz cut. She was Fuyilai, Sweet Home's fourth sister.

Following behind Betasha to the left was the last woman, whose body was enormously fat and round-bellied, her pale-yellow face crammed with folds of flesh. She was Parihame, Sweet Home's fifth sister.

They were Mad Clowns from the Delight Theater, yet each of them was now clad in a pitch-black trench coat stained with blood.

They were the hunter coats symbolizing the Auling Hunter Corps.

They were also trophies Betasha had collected from dead hunters not long ago.

A few minutes earlier, when Kadeci outside began rearranging the internal space of the "Maze Cube," the three sisters—Betasha, Fuyilai, and Parihame—had each fallen separately into unfamiliar surroundings. Fortunately, however, all of them had been transported into the same region of the cube, and they soon regrouped.

Afterward, Betasha took out the hunter coats she had previously looted and instructed Fuyilai and Parihame to put them on as she had.
