Big Sister Betasha

As the icy-blue radiance burst forth, the surrounding air temperature plummeted, and Betasha changed her form along with it.

First, a suit of close-fitting blue armor formed from thin ice emerged over her body. Then, with a wave of her hand, she condensed four slender ice swords out of thin air, each with a snowflake-shaped guard. Together with the ice armor, they fitted tightly onto her hands and legs, bringing her into a four-sword stance that radiated chilling menace.

However, Betasha's armed state did not end there.

A crack suddenly opened across the exposed purple skin of her back.

Immediately afterward, a pair of enormous pale bat wings spread outward from within that crack. Each wing was slightly larger than Betasha herself, its surface covered in countless blade-like scales, which were then coated in a light layer of frost by Betasha's strange power.

Four swords, two wings, ice covering her entire body.

This was the true combat form of Sweet Home's eldest sister.

Betasha's Innate Spirit Art used her own skin as a medium, allowing her to create ice at any time that could freely shift shape for defense or offense.

This art of ice control appeared somewhat similar to the blood manipulation art wielded by Oko's partner, Ye Chen, yet their fundamental nature was vastly different.

Although both Ye Chen's and Betasha's abilities possessed the concept of "creation," Ye Chen's power chiefly emphasized "the flexible malleability of liquid form" and "an unstoppable, searing offensive force." By comparison, Betasha's solid ice crystals placed greater emphasis on "the immense resilience of solid matter" and "the additional effect of extreme cold."

While Betasha's ice could not take on as many varied forms as Ye Chen's blood, the armor and weapons she created from frost possessed sturdy properties that combined offense and defense
