As for those saying I was just parroting things without understanding them, I hereby declare that I was a player of all four: Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero.
I had been exposed to Honkai Impact 3rd since 2017. Although I had not logged in every day, I had played on and off for over 1,200 days. I completed everything normally before Part 1.5, and I also watched through Part 2's story on Bilibili.
However, I was not a lore expert either, so some mistakes were inevitable. Still, I would do my best to avoid them.
Now, an explanation regarding the protagonist's abilities.
Although some people might have been misled by the title, I wrote in the synopsis that this story incorporated more than one game.
It was not as though I had never considered other titles.
For example, "Lord of Rock Heavenly Star" or "I Am Rex Lapis," but in the end, I chose Star of Eden.
First: could the Herrscher of Rock truly control rock?
In the Previous Era's naming, the previous Herrscher of Rock attacked by controlling rock, so he was named after that characteristic.
Though it was indirectly controlled through gravity.
In the Current Era, after Chen Tianwu's true abilities were discovered to be control over gravity and attraction, he was renamed the Herrscher of Stars.
Also, I was completely making a voice actor joke here.
Welt from Honkai: Star Rail and Zhongli were voiced by the same person. Apparently Welt from Honkai 2 was as well.
Next was whether controlling rock was reasonable.
My physics was not particularly good, but gravity was one of the four fundamental forces. What was wrong with using it to control rock?
Without gravity, Earth would have fallen apart long ago, okay?
Besides, it was called the Herrscher of Stars. Was controlling a planet really that difficult?
Gravity was never a simple, singular attribute. Any object with mass possessed a certain degree of gravitational pull.
Rock had mass, and mass came with gravity, so controlling gravity meant controlling matter and rock. Nothing wrong with that.
Besides, Herrscher Authorities had never meant only what they appeared to mean. The Herrscher of Wind did not simply control wind, and the Herrscher of Thunder did not simply control lightning. Those were merely external manifestations.
I thought it made perfect sense.
Next was the issue of Martial Soul Fusion Skills.
Could the Ice Staff fuse with Star of Eden to form Meteor Ice?
I just wanted to write it that way. Treat it as a bargain-bin version.
Besides, if I wanted to write it, I could even fuse the Ice God Pearl and Ice Staff into the Ice God Staff.
And the Martial Soul Fusion Skill formed from the Star Staff and Star of Eden was even more overpowered. Wouldn't that be even more unreasonable?
I would give you two hints: Harmony and Destruction.
As for the protagonist's identity, I did not choose it at random either.
The mutated Sun Martial Soul fit Zhongli, the Lord of Rock, and Heavenly Star.
Even the Purple Imperial Heaven-Destroying Dragon Bloodline had its purpose; it corresponded to the Exuvia of the Immortal Ancestor.
Still, anyone who had made it this far had surely accepted the author's wild ideas and settings.
