Fang Bie had only arrived in this world three days ago. In truth, he wasn't very familiar with it, but as a hardcore player of My World, he could be considered intimately acquainted with the mechanics of this realm.
After a complex psychological struggle and some discussion, Tony and his companion accepted his proposal with good grace.
At this moment, Fang Bie was essentially playing the role of a savior to the two of them. They had been trapped in a cave, originally prepared to sacrifice their lives if necessary just to find a way to escape.
Yet, they never expected that halfway through their ordeal, they would discover this portal filled with strange colors and stumble into such a bizarre and magnificent world.
Although Fang Bie was full of goodwill toward them, the two men certainly couldn't place all their hopes on him, nor were they foolish enough to trust someone they had only known for a few minutes.
However, Fang Bie knew their personalities in great detail. Tony Stark's personality was famous throughout the world; he was highly intelligent, extremely proud, incredibly conceited, and at the same time, deeply arrogant.
His tongue was sharp, especially when he held the advantage, and he would strike at your confidence without mercy. Yet, he was fundamentally a kind person. Aside from that vicious mouth, he didn't really have any glaring flaws—though standing people up certainly counted as one.
He existed at the very top of society, so he didn't often speak to those at the bottom, but he wasn't the type to look down on them either. His personality was quite complex.
Fang Bie made a simple diagnosis of their characters. At the very least, he knew Tony possessed a kind nature, so he wasn't particularly worried. Inviting them over wasn't born out of a momentary impulse of kindness.
To him, kindness wasn't worth much. While he followed basic ethics and morals, since he had finally managed to get two laborers, he certainly couldn't let them go to waste.
"I have basically learned about your world," Fang Bie said, having heard much information about their world from them. They had been stuck in that cave for a long time, and being able to chat with someone from an entirely different world was a rare experience.
"Let me tell you about my world, the one you see now—a world made of blocks!" As Fang Bie touched the two men, a light screen flashed before him. It was a display identical to the prompts in the game, appearing right in front of his eyes.
"Grant permissions?" Below this question were many different options.
From gathering, destroying, and attacking to building, mining, crafting, and enchanting, dozens of permissions appeared below. With his sharp eyes, Fang Bie spotted one particular permission.
"Grant resurrection permission?" His previously tense spirit suddenly relaxed.
Having this permission basically meant that he should possess such an ability himself. Immortality was beckoning to him; he was becoming more and more like Steve from the original game.
However, Fang Bie soon discovered that this ability was actually grayed out. Even the same ability listed after his own name was gray, and there was no option shown to activate it.
Still, it was a promising sign that gave him more motivation to move forward.
This choice didn't actually take long; Fang Bie processed it quickly in his mind and reacted immediately.
"Grant permissions: gathering, storage, and item access." Fang Bie pointed his finger at Tony. This command naturally left the two men feeling confused.
However, Fang Bie wouldn't just leave them hanging. He casually took out a piece of wood and threw it next to them. "I have enabled your usage and building permissions. Try to see if you can pick up this piece of wood."
Tony looked at him suspiciously, then slowly reached out toward the wood floating on the floor.
The wood wasn't actually large, only about the size of his palm. The moment he touched it, it was as if a switch had been flipped in his body; the wood zipped straight into him!
"What the hell!" Tony jumped up, patting his body frantically. Even the blue light on his chest flickered on and off.
Fang Bie smiled and said, "Don't rush to look for it. Just think the word 'wood' in your mind."
After hearing his words, Tony calmed down from his previous tension and followed the instruction, silently thinking the word.
Miraculously, a piece of wood appeared in his hand. He couldn't even feel the weight of it, only knowing through the solid sensation that the object was indeed in his grasp.
"Congratulations, you have successfully mastered the traditional ability of this world!" Fang Bie said with a smile. "This is the special rule of this world: all objects can be transformed into this state and held in your hand."
He continued to prompt them, "Try placing the wood on the ground. You'd better try it outside; there isn't much space in the room!"
As he spoke, he opened the door and let Tony and Yinsen walk out together.
As soon as Tony reached the door, he couldn't wait to try it on the ground. He could clearly see that the moment the palm-sized piece of wood touched the ground, it expanded rapidly, turning into a wooden block a full cubic meter in size.
"Oh my god, what kind of miracle is this?" Yinsen continued to exclaim from the side. His medical doctorate-level intellect seemed unable to save his worldview.
Although a look of surprise appeared on Tony's face, it was replaced more by contemplation.
"You came at an inconvenient time. I have only just begun to develop in this world. Since you don't want to return to your own world yet, it would be good to help me with some work here for the time being." Fang Bie had no intention of deceiving them. Both men were incredibly intelligent; even if he fooled them now, they would likely figure out his true intentions before long. It was better to be straightforward.
"Fine." Tony Stark looked at his own hands, a strange light appearing in his eyes. "You granted us this ability, and we work for you. That's fair. But I have one request."
Fang Bie nodded. "Go ahead. As long as it's not unreasonable, I can agree."
"Once we have recovered enough in this world, I hope you can accompany us back to my world to help us escape!" Tony Stark's expression was incredibly firm; it seemed he hadn't given up on his original plan.
"Deal!" Fang Bie nodded. Although he knew the other world was a hail of bullets and that going out might be life-threatening, that was only assuming he stayed with his current equipment.
Once Fang Bie reached the Diamond Age and possessed a set of enchanted armor, he didn't believe he couldn't use that terrifyingly defensive gear to turn those people upside down.
"The deal is struck. Now, let's get to work!" Fang Bie revealed a smile like a ruthless landlord and pointed to the large field he had cleared out behind him!
