"Fang Bie? Why have you been staying in the house for so long?" Yinsen walked in carrying a water bucket.

"It's nothing, I was making a Crafting Guide so you wouldn't have to struggle to memorize those crafting recipes. You can look up any recipe you don't understand in here; it's indexed by the first letter." Fang Bie handed over the light blue book in his hand.

He possessed many years of gaming experience and knew most of the crafting recipes by heart, so he didn't really need this himself; the main reason he made it was to avoid forgetting certain things.

"A Crafting Guide? Isn't this just a dictionary for this world?" Yinsen took the book happily, placed the bucket into a chest, and squatted down to flip through it.

"Are you done with your tasks? You study this book for a bit, I'm going to the fields to get some vegetables for tonight's dinner." Fang Bie washed his hands in the nearby water trough and hurried off to the fields.

Yinsen wasn't incapable of cooking Chinese food, but after Fang Bie witnessed him boil a lump of compressed food into a black paste back in the cave, he had lost all desire to eat anything he made.

As a member of the great nation of foodies, this level of cooking was merely average, so Fang Bie loaded a bag of high-quality rice into a cooking pot and set it on the Furnace to heat.

Then, he placed some chicken in another Furnace to roast and, grabbing a pair of shears, walked into the nearby farmland.

The field they had cleared, measuring about 400 square meters, looked quite vast. Various vegetables and plants grew in the soil, presenting a surprisingly unexpected landscape.

Aside from this field and the three houses, there was still a patch of open space left in the area. Fang Bie planned to build a laboratory there, which he could use later for crafting equipment or brewing potions.

Of course, this was a resource-rich continent, not a troublesome Skyblock, so Fang Bie didn't need to build facilities to create something from nothing, nor did he need to scramble for survival. He could finally think and research things that were more profound for this game.

However, the Food Craft series of mods was still quite helpful to him.

Whether it was the novel plants, the wide variety of ingredients, the diverse types of meat, or the electrical appliances that looked just like blocks but possessed special functions, everything was perfectly suited to their current situation.

Fang Bie plucked a few garlic sprouts for seasoning and then harvested the nearby ripe vegetables. Since his backpack and chests didn't have a rotting mechanic, these foods could be stored for countless years.

A few simple vegetables were prepared in no time. Fang Bie suddenly felt that he should go catch some chickens to raise; otherwise, he wouldn't even have the right ingredients to make a soup.

Although there were no eggs, there was plenty of beef and mutton. Having not eaten all day, he was truly famished.

Yinsen had also set aside the Crafting Guide, joining Fang Bie to make the first lunch they had enjoyed since arriving in this world, which turned out to be incredibly sumptuous.

Even though the sun was nearing the horizon, the two of them still sat at the doorway, at a table made of stone, eating with great satisfaction.

"Fang Bie, did you have any unexpected gains from your trip out?" Yinsen consciously took on the task of washing the dishes; there were only two of them here, and only by dividing the labor could they live together more peacefully.

Fang Bie nodded, "Yes, I brought back some different saplings and wood that you should be able to use when building houses. Once we finish tidying up the houses here, we'll head to the village I found today."

"A village?" Yinsen, who was still washing dishes, froze. "Do you mean there are other people in this world besides us?"

"No, the only real people should be the two of us. The villagers in that village are more like robots with fixed programs. They don't look like humans; instead, they are somewhat similar to the Zombies we've seen before," Fang Bie explained simply.

"Oh!" Yinsen lowered his head and adjusted his glasses. "I need to build a laboratory. Many things in this world are very interesting, and I want to master the knowledge of this world as quickly as possible."

"Sure." Fang Bie nodded. "This is something I should be teaching you anyway. Since you want to learn on your own, that's no problem at all!"

The existence of the Crafting Guide would allow him to take fewer detours.

Fang Bie also wanted to see what kind of tricks Yinsen could come up with; it would be a waste not to utilize such a high-IQ talent.

Fang Bie even hoped that when they eventually researched Redstone Tech, he would have a helper who could offer various suggestions!

Since Yinsen could work as an assistant for Tony Stark, simple Redstone Tech shouldn't be much of a problem for him.

Fang Bie didn't intend to be like those masters who used Redstone Tech to create terrifyingly extreme devices—those people who could build mobile phones with high-frequency redstone and truly push the limits of the world with circuits like these were simply incredible.

Fang Bie just wanted to use some Redstone Tech to make life faster and more convenient, but that would have to wait until much later, at least until they had enough raw materials and minerals to squander.

After all, no matter the era, the resource consumption for scientific research was the most terrifying. Fang Bie didn't want to be halfway through building a tool only to run out of materials and have to rush down into a mine to dig, which was inefficient and would consume a lot of his time.

After eating, while the sun had yet to set, the two of them finished enclosing the fence and placed a Torch every few meters, illuminating the somewhat dim hillside until it was bright.

"That's it!" Fang Bie looked at the area they had built together and clapped his hands with a sense of accomplishment. This was his home in this world, and only now did he feel the safety of a home.

"Fang, I heard wolves howling not far away. Should we go back inside and sleep?" Yinsen walked over and said to him.

"Wolves? Those are good things too!" Fang Bie's eyes lit up. "When we have time, we'll go catch two wolves to keep watch and guard the house. That will make the nights even safer."

"Right... okay..." Yinsen looked at his reaction, dumbfounded. He probably never expected that the pack of wolves, which were originally feared like tigers, would now become their primary targets for the future.

"This world is truly incomplete... So, what exactly was the purpose of bringing me to this world?" Fang Bie lay on the bed, eyes wide open, staring at the ceiling, unable to fall asleep for a long time.
